- Madman Greg is back at it again - this time with a new set of passenger cars for the valley! It really adds a fun bit of immersion and flavor getting to play with these cars and an American engine. He included a little nod to me that made me laugh really hard....

I will say, Train099 did an amazing job on the F3 skins, It's absolutely wonderful to see people make stuff like that!
Also, heck. it seems one of the meshes failed to import to Unity.. the underside struts. I'll fix that soon.
As to the 'why are there different models' question, Internally there are three types of passenger cars, Red, Green, and Blue. And that plays into how jobs are generated with passenger jobs.
Blue passenger cars are used for express trains (and sometimes commuter), and Red and Green are used exclusively for commuter. If I had uploaded one with skins, you'd have a mix of the default passenger cars and the US ones. So PRR Red and Green act as 'Blue' types. PRR Black acts as 'Green', and the DRGW and CRP act as 'Red' types. ensuring you don't run into mixing.

Getting a nice Strasburg RR vibe from these cars, especially with the F3. And I'm here for it.
I also have to wonder what the hell the passengers are thinking watching the frantic maneuvers of a 2-6-0 as the engineer basically cross-controls everything in the cab trying to make up time.

hey Hyce, a bit of advice for this game. whenever you want to do two jobs at once, i find coupling them together _before_ you accept them can usually end up with the jobs going to the same track(i know this doesn't apply to the job you did, what with it being two separate STATIONS, but still), which *_really_* simplifies the job of unloading and storing the cars!

@@Hyce777 What's also a good idea is, as I've found out, closing the game(and I mean Alt+F4ing, not opening the menu) before it autosaves actually can undo any mistake you make! Also, opening the pause menu triggers the autosave. _I think you know where this is going_
I wish there was old Pullman coaches! To see a 4-4-0 with a rake of those would be cool! Imagine standing at the end in a observation coach!

Every time I see a new video I just have to watch the shenanigans unfold. Especially when the splody boys join the party .... a pyrometer is used to measure temperature in the differentials and tires of semi trucks or temperature of other components... we actually use them in racing to see what part of our tires are building the most heat and we decide on the compound we need (harder or softer rubber ) depending on the readings from the tires .. and by far this was the best splody boy ending Imo.... keep up the awesome work 👏

I've noticed the commuter job gives a longer completion time than the freight jobs. Actually, kind of useful if you want to run ridiculous trains like Hazmat and Passengers at the same time. What do you mean I'm not supposed to tow Nukes and Nuclear Fuel behind the passengers? It's called efficiency!

As for Pyrometers, they are in the most basic terms and high temp thermometer. Usually used on furnaces, they measure temperature through radiation rather than conduction/convection.

AFAIK a Pyrometer is just a high-temperature thermometer, it tells you how hot a very hot thing is, like your exhaust temperature in a diesel (I've seen them even in wee little penalty-box cars) so one being on a steam engine is probably just a matter of "X railroad/shop/train crew thought it a good idea to have one" although I have no idea if it would actually prove helpful.

11:37; we had pyrometers on the BHm4/8's for engine exhaust temperature prior to the rebuild. Usually meant the stupid HC3 turbos on the marine big cams were about to melt down when you started consistently getting exhaust temps over 900 degrees. Modern, better turbos, and electronic engine control meant we got rid of the gauges, good riddance.

11:30 a pyrometer measures exhaust gas temps. Run too hot from running too hard (or issues) and you can be damaging engine components.

You should try to find a high speed diesel passenger train set to do a passenger service and of course at near to the end of the video either just derail it or run it in to your exploding tanker cars.

Edit: Look, Hyce, I'm really trying here, but with the speed you scroll through the fees at, even going frame by frame, they're too glitched/blurred to properly make out some of them! I got lucky with some of the millions because there were frames that were clear and had their numbers, but there's no such luck with the 900s or 800s of thousands! Could you give me the list at a slower speed? I'd really appreciate it(and yes, I'm planning on going all the way with this, I'm a stubborn SOAG(Son Of A Gun), and I'm gonna see this through!)
