I have much respect for Kirby smart, he didn’t pull a Deion sanders and throw his players under the bus! As an Alabama fan I respect Georgia and everyone else should as well. This was a great SEC championship. And I’ll never talk down to or disrespect in any way. But a lot of Georgia fans got that Ohio state ego this year. With that being said they have a great program and team so I’m not calling either teams “thugs” or name calling.

You have my respect as a Alabama fan, every year I was cheering for Georgia in the playoffs as they are the representatives of the sec (even tho I hate them). I think we all need to unite under whoever wins the sec every year as we really are all one big family

Kirby is highly respected in Alabama. Bama fans was really really respectful to me before and after the game I literally seen there fans shaking hands with ours and some even hugging a lot of them was saying Georgia was 1 of the 4 best there fans was really nice

I blame it on Beck poorly handing of the ball on our side of the field that led to the fumble and at 8:20 our safety tripping OVER HIMSELF missing the wide open tackle on the Qb. Those were both very embarrassing.

Alabama and Georgia has become a rivalry. All games in the past 6 seasons have been crazy. But Alabama has had the edge. There is more respect than hate. Players and coaches.
GA is in the top 4 but politics will not allow it. In my book the top 4 Bama,GA, Michigan. The 4th team is a toss up. To me Texas/FSU/Wa/Oregon haven't done anything to separate themselves due to a weaker schedule

The difference was Alabama catching a loss earlier in the year. It taught them what they needed to fix. As nice as going 29-0 was, UGA would have been better served losing a game in the regular season too. We were just too damn sloppy all year. Dawgs played hard enough to win, but you can’t continue to make dumb mistakes vs. good teams and expect to win. We wouldn’t have beaten Texas, Michigan, or Washington playing like that either.

Boy, Kirby really walked around his non questioning of a critical 4th down reception. If he had, GA would have had the ball and his putting one first half time out over the result of that reception was amazing that he left that alone. Then Bobo's apparent decision to emphasize the run game over the pass game when it was quickly established that Ga needed to use running to supplement the pass and not vice versa/

Why didn't UGA ask for a review on the (non catch) play right before halftime? So what if it cast a timeout, there was around two minutes remaining in the second quarter. It was too big of a play not to review.
hence why I say kirby smart cost us that game. the loss is fully on him. because even after that nonreview, he still didn't use the timeout and went conservative when we were down 10 points to bama before the half. absolutely unacceptable clock management. that mentality can never win you a game against bama.

We keep hearing best 4 teams. But Georgia has proved it’s the top program in the country. Didn’t make the playoffs and didn’t have anyone opt out unlike FSU and set a bowl record win. Culture is everything.

Last year TCU lost to a non top 10 team in their conf title game and dropped 1 slot.
This year the number 1 team dropped 5 spots, when playing a number 8 team that I believe really was a top 5 because of the SoS. Total BS

Very winnable game for Georgia. It all came down to just a few critical errors.
We dropped 4 interceptions and overthrew a TD , and dropped a pass to burton ..we could've blown yall out honesty, we dominated that game . The score does reflect it.. we punched yall in the mouth, and shut yall run game down.

I think the war of attrition our guys experienced in the regular season caught up with us tonight. I knew heading into this game it was going to be an extremely tough match up especially for our some-what soft run defense this year. I believe there were too many injuries to overcome tonight on the offense, Ladd at 50%, Brock at 70%, Mims going down. But that's football, congrats to Bama, I hope they get their shot in the playoff. UGA needs to rest up, keep chopping wood, and prepare for a presumably tough opponent in their upcoming bowl game.
The SEC championship is the defacto natty anyway. The two teams I watched today are the top two teams in the country… period. Even obnoxious Mi and Florida State fans know it too.

Well, when you don't play to your potential and when you choose not to do the things you know you must do, then you reap your reward.
Lack of pursuit, lack of tackling whatsoever, lack of discipline, and the choice not to take it seriously, then you get what you get.
This was a choice that UGA made.
Learn from it or choose to stay defeated. Again, another choice they must make.
They deserved to lose. They played awful year round and surprised it took this long to lose.
This is what they needed.
This is coming from a die-hard UGA fan as well.
They deserved a loss, and they needed it. Just as a parent needs to discipline their child (or should), the team needed this to show they aren't untouchable, and it takes every week and every day to fight for what they want. It doesn't just come freely or easily they must give their all each and every day and every week.
They can't just ride the coat tails of their graduates and upperclassmen and expect a win by just merely showing up.
It doesn't work that way.
They must earn their wins and spot, and this proves each game must be played, and whomever wants it more will get the victory.
Doesn't matter what your rank is or what your win and loss margin is you must still play to your fullest ability no matter what and have discipline to do your part start to finish not half way or a 1/4 of the way through.
Start to finish. Or prepare to suffer the consequences.
And prepare to let down your fans and teammates by choosing to do less.
Period.

This is what happens when you play injured players all game that cant create speration so out passing was way off. They were able to stack the box bc of it and stop the run. Poor coaching on this one. Too desperate acting and didnt have trust in the depth thats taken them the distance before. Kirby Smart lost this game for Uga.
