I have always told my buddies that I would take a 3 star that bleeds red and black over a 5 star primadonna any day. Stetson was a great example of that and so is McConkey. Deijun Edwards is another one that comes to mind. For two years, he has been the 4th quarter clean up guy. Now he is balling. Straight up Dawgs with no other agenda than to be a DGD.

Head coaching in college doesn’t directly map to the head coaching in the NFL. Coordinating does, but head coaching in college is about recruitment and raising young men.

They won at Auburn, murdered #20 Kentucky, stomped Florida, just beat a top 15 Mizzou last week. Top 10 Ole Miss is this week and another top 15 team in Tennessee is next week. To get to the CFP, they’ll have to beat another top 10 team in Bama. All of that = significantly stronger than your team’s schedule, no matter who they are

Sometimes the interviews are dull, and yes I think the first two hours have too many ‘filler’ interviews that go on for too long some days, but this is Kirby Smart and he is always engaged and fun.
p.s. no interview has ever been as dull as the one with Ninja, that was a complete disaster.
