    Very cool. Yes common names are confusing especially when many species use the same one. I have two little "Voodoo lilies" too but they are Amorphophallus konjac. They made little trees in the spring then died back. That's normal. I dug up the tubers and now have them inside in a dry place over wintering til next spring. Every year the tubbers get bigger. So if it gets too cold you can bring them insdie to be safe.

    I truely do like to grow things that other people don't. i respect the common things but they don't attract me like the unique.. I guess i just like to be different :) I need to try growing something hydroponic. looks like fun..

    did you get them online? and if so do you remember where from... i might like to try tiny bulbs instead

  • @ScaryFear
    @ScaryFear Před 11 lety

    A friend from Flickr sent them to me. I could ask him if he's got extras or sells them or what? One of my bulbs is growing a long piece. I don't know if it's making a new one. I heard they divide on their own, but it will probably be a long time before I have another one since they're just babies. I've seen them on Ebay for a decent price. Might want to try that too.

    i will certainly try ebay again... thats where i found the seeds... i hear that the success rate with fresh seeds is almost 100%... now the question is... are the seeds i got fresh...lol...

    The voodoo Lily i have has leaves does that mean it wont flower?

    So did you leave the bulbs in the ground over winter? And if that’s the case can they tolerate a wet winter?

    • @PlantzNThings
      @PlantzNThings  Před 4 lety

      These are hardy to zone 5 or 6 i believe, Yes this one was overwintered in the ground. It prefers to not be wet over winter... if it's too wet you will get some rot.
