@er10b I bet that Puddleglum is actually the Doctor and the wigwam (big pointy thing he lives in!) is the Tardis - with the Chameleon Circuit working for a bit.
The way Puddleglum calls Eustace “Boy”, is a nice touch. I don’t think he did in the book but it’s good to be inventive in an adaptation. Also Eustace and Jill sat either side of Puddleglum when they went to meet him, he didn’t talk to them with his back to them.
this needs the big money disney treatment. was my favorite as a kid and remember this one more fondly than all the others, just a shame that the graphics were a little poor compared to what we can now achieve...
I loved Narnia as child. Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and The Silver Chair were my favorite installments. I watched the 2010 film adaptation of Voyage of the Dawn Treader for the first time last year and I thought it was great. I didn't watch the other films cos I grew out of Narnia. I will always love Narnia. Puddleglum is a brilliant character and Tom Baker was perfectly cast in the role. Whoever they cast as Puddleglum in a future movie adaptation I hope they choose the right actor well. 4:53 - 9:47.
The Silver Chair would make such a good film with today's technology. They're worried about making the films silly and having the talking animals say stupid stuff to keep the mood light and the kids entertained, but there really would be no need for that, there are so many funny parts in The Silver Chair that they could quote directly. Whenever I read it I laugh aloud.
I can imagine him going like "Hmm I could *try* landing the TARDIS in Narnia, although the chameleon circuit will get stuck, I shouldn't wonder." And it lands and turns into the wigwam
@mercsmania yes we are indeed spoiled for choice as far as technology is concerned these days. But we must remember that this was ground-breaking stuff when it was made. And incidentally, Disney took far too many liberties with the stories of the two books they HAVE adapted.
@6000NoobTube Tardis: Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It's Doctor Who's Time Macgine (Doctor Who was played by the actor who plays Puddleglum in this between 1975-1981. Ok?)
Indeed, imagine the doctor offering the green lady women thingy a jelly baby... now that would be funny they could easily escape with a sonic screwdriver
This 1 is nicely made when compared to previous versions.. lion, witch and wardrobe 'N' prince caspian and voyage of dawn treader i hope.. Disney's Silver chair will be better then this 1.. n i'm also hope that they will change the story slightly or the behavior of characters slightly
i wonder if he has Romana And K9MKII inside that wigwam and it's actually his tardis with a working chameleon circuit... HA HA, i've gotta stop watching the old doctor who episodes... oh what would happen if doctor 4 and puddleglum met up
I love Dr. Who in general, but I love this actor, esp. as Puddleglum! He's brilliant!!
Well if it isn't one of my favorite Doctors! Dearest Tom Baker!!
@er10b I bet that Puddleglum is actually the Doctor and the wigwam (big pointy thing he lives in!) is the Tardis - with the Chameleon Circuit working for a bit.
I was kind of half-hoping he'd say "I'm the Doctor. Would you like a Jelly Baby?"

"Hey young human! Don't rock the boat!"
Hahahahaha!!!!
I actually did that about 8 years ago at a sci-fi convention in Birmingham and he was really happy I remembered him for this!
i like him as dr who and i love what he's wearing, i can just see the doctor wearing that can't you
It's soooooooooo true to the book, I could die of happiness!
:-)
Now I know why I love the fourth Doctor so much
Interesting to note that Puddleglum is the fourth Doctor.
guess tardis fucked up big time
When he turned around, I sat up and said, "Are you fucking kidding me?!"
Totally did not remember Tom Baker played good old Puddleglum.
Tom Baker was perfectly cast.
I love this!
Never finished it when I was younger.
You see, the other marshwiggles think I'm too flighty!
this needs the big money disney treatment. was my favorite as a kid and remember this one more fondly than all the others, just a shame that the graphics were a little poor compared to what we can now achieve...
I love puddlegum even though he is always pessimistic.
Puddleglum is hilarious =D
so true to the book. Yay!

8:12 Tom sounds as if he's got a cold.
Cair Paravel was in ruins in Prince Caspian, but when Caspian became king he rebuilt it.

A big screen adaptation is currently in development.
I wonder if they're saying the stew's good just to be contrary with Puddleglum. =D
a long scarf and his classic companions Romana II and K9 MKII
Puddleglum makes me laugh
I can imagine him going like "Hmm I could *try* landing the TARDIS in Narnia, although the chameleon circuit will get stuck, I shouldn't wonder." And it lands and turns into the wigwam

i know they should do that when they re-make this one it would be brilliant tom baker has said he wants to return
How did I never figure out that Tom Baker was Puddleglum??? >.

Puddleglum looks a little bit like Gandalf (Gandalf the Grey with the Hat, I should say).
Not how I imagined Puddleglum.
Still waiting for the Horse And His Boy :)
he's only 74 he really wants to come back and film it
end up knifing each other i wouldn't wonder, lol
The tone of Camilla Power reminds me of Emma Watson.
They have forgotten puddelgums pipe
Indeed, imagine the doctor offering the green lady women thingy a jelly baby... now that would be funny they could easily escape with a sonic screwdriver
Ettinsmoor....Tolkien crossover :-)
0:00 Pole has fallen asleep.
@AnonymousDiv0 Yes I bet the Tardis would be able to get to Narnia.
@Andysk4 no this is according to my dad
and its really just a long fish when you think about it
HOORAY TOM BAKER!!!
eel is actually good
His Marsh-wiggle tongue may have different taste-buds and be unable to taste many of them, maybe.
@6000NoobTube My God man how do you not know what a Tardis is.
wow
i know, it should be good, his EX wife Lalla ward (Romana 2) is playing the Green Lady type women thing
@klbates double awesome. Narnia AND Doctor Who!
@Jamestopboy What is a Trdis?
I really want to go up to Tom Baker one day amongst a load of Doctor Who fans and scream "OH MY GOD it's Puddleglum!!"
Oh, Tom Baker
This 1 is nicely made when compared to previous versions.. lion, witch and wardrobe 'N' prince caspian and voyage of dawn treader
i hope.. Disney's Silver chair will be better then this 1..
n i'm also hope that they will change the story slightly or the behavior of characters slightly

The wig responsible?
What type of creature is Puddleglum? I forgot but I know it starts with letter M..
MistakenGlance a Marshwiggle
@ameenbilla Well, they said "Based on the book by C.S. Lewis" so I don't think they're gonna change anything...
@WeaslysWizardWeezes you really tried it?

Too woo too woo
@MistakenGlance marshwiggle
Travelling with Puddleglum is their punishment for being twits. XD

@FountainOfGardens You a Jew? I think so. But the important thing is, do you know who Jesus is?
