Bright Sun Films what was that website you found with the worst rides at Disney world?
@@redbaron474 Explain?
Quick Question ... is the actual journey into imagination dark ride completely removed ... or is it abandoned and hidden within the pavilion? Kinda like Cranium Command ...
This has become one of my favorite series.
Same
same
+NewKittyMommy same
Spooky tho :0
Same here. Is it weird I'm fasinated by abandoned places and theme parks that I've never been to before?
That Coke machine is nothing new where I am. I find them at Burger Kings and Wendy's as well as Five Guys.
Anon21486 true
Anon21486 yep! I love those things
Anon21486 what state? They're not in Ohio
thats a good opinion, five guys is awesome
Bruh they everywhere
Those Coke Machines are called Coke Freestyle :D
A lot of the Burger Kings in my area have them. Fanta flavoured Coke? yes please!
Thanks Guru Larry from CZcams channel Larry Bundy Jr
they're also designed by pinfarina, the same company that designs ferraris
Wasn't expecting to see you here.
“Freestyle” but you still had to pay for the Coke . 🤔
Well, Disney did make almost 3 billion dollars this year from some of their more popular films, they could easily pump that into Epcot.
You forget half of RDJ and cumberbatchs salary goes to that
Force RDJ to pay for Epcot!
They need to use that money to make more better movies.
All I want is Epcot is to stick to the knowledge and learning experience but the fact they are gonna put Guardians of the Galaxy ride in Epcot is way off. To me Guardians of the Galaxy belongs in Hollywood Studios not Epcot. Wish Epcot could bring back Horizons and World of Motions.
I learned from a cast member that it's actually super hard to push the film money into other sectors of the business. I'm sure they have their ways, but there's a lot of pushback. Go figure.
You guys are the best. Thanks so much for watching everyone
No, you are the best Jake!
Keep up the good work Jake!! 👍👍
Can you look up some abandoned airports around the world? That would be cool, though.
Next video you should do bell isle zoo
journeybackintoimagination.blogspot.com Go download it, its not finished yet, but it'll be worth it!
I really loved the 80's version of the future, it would have been cool to have kept the pavilion looking like that. The rainbow tunnel looked so cool! I'm sure the kids now would have gone crazy Instagramming that. lol
Laura Neuzeth totally
c r i n g e
I'm forever upset I'll never be able to the 80's journey into imagination, it sounds amazing
would be nice to throwback the Gen Z's to one of the best decades (90s gen represent!)
I miss the second floor so much. I remember holding onto the giant paintbrush and color the hanging portraits. How I could orchestrate a virtual symphonic orchestra by just waving my hands around. Walking through rainbow bridge was just the tip of the iceberg. The very next room had figment holograms that would move when you touch them. Then you stepped into a dark room where there were colored panels on the floor that would make different sounds when you stepped on them. The final room had you watch a ballon race between the dreamfinder, several other hot air balloons, and the mickey balloon. There were green screen studios, a large nail board that would light up your hands as you'd stroke the nails, and you could play with giant kaleidoscopes before Downtown Disney had to one up those. I miss that place so much since it was so creative and inspiring. Seeing that creative wonderland go to waste is just a shame. If I ran into a ton of money, I'd make a playground just like the second floor.
Oh hey. I wasn't aware you watched this channel. But it's definitely a shame, though. I would've loved that as a kid.
Anime America Did not expect to see you here.
NANI??? you watch this too? but yeah it was a shame
I recall all of that 😁😁😁
Disney has definitely made some poor decisions when it comes to figments world of imagination. Should of kept the entire building for just figment and give an exterior remodel. They could of even shined images on the glass at night with figment dancing around. People have no imagination any more which is a shame cause that is what Epcot is all about.
So, a little trivia I learned on a tour of Epcot. The basement of the pavilion is where the cleaning machine for the 3D Glasses for the entire resort is kept. This is a huge steam cleaning machine the size of an entire room.
If this machine breaks (and it has), they have to Fed Ex the glasses back and forth to California to be cleaned. They only have one of these machines, so if they rebuild the pavilion, they're gonna have to either obtain a brand new machine, or leave the basement untouched.
(The basement is also where the Imagination ride vehicles are repaired.)
Wow...
That does make a lot of sense if you think about it.
Way to go Disney! Keeping up with the good sanitary codes.
(Do you know if the area in Journey to Imagination where the "Smell and Taste Labs" are supposed to be is the closed off parts of the old Journey? Or is that a separate track that leads to the basement maintenance area? I assume the latter; the parts of the old ride are probably stored away some room underground in EPCOT)
The old track areas where the Imagination ride would have gone can be seen in the New ImageWorks/gift shop areas. If you walk along the floor and find a miscolored stripe that seems to wind around a bit, that's the old ride track pit filled in. The track that leads through the supposed Touch and Taste lab areas is either a dummy track or leads to the maintenance area (I don't honestly know that part).
Not sure where the track connects to the basement maintenance bay. They brought us down there via a stairwell connected to the Pixar Short Film building.
Aww, really?
That's really cool and sad at the same time... :C
Reminds me of the bronze strip you can find along the pavement in the Hollywood Boulevard section of Hollywood Studios. According to adamthewoo, the strip was originally used as a marker for the first parades they had at the park for the floats. I wish I saw his video on Hollywood Studios sooner, because I totally would've looked for it when I went last year!
@@powdgaze The track there is not where the original track was actually cut. The split actually was where the final scene "Spark in the dark," is at now. Right after you go under the Montey Python guy's moon face it would have turned left. A lot of people think that Taste and Touch are where the old track would go due to the fake track portion placed there. However, if you did go that way, you would end up at the loading station.
Turn it into RetroWorld.
This series makes me seriously glad I got to go to Epcot in the 80s when these attractions were pretty new and the park was in its prime. Sometimes our rose-tinted memories are real!
Indeed, if I could visit Epcot during any era then it would be the 80s, when Epcot was truly at its peak. The whole area and perhaps even the park have been on a torturously long, slow decline. They're charging $6k for one day and two nights at that budget Star Wars notel thing now, I think it sinks of trying to grab a lot of money quickly before they sink, whatever their thinking was it is failing sithtacularly.
@@Voltaic_Fireyup
3:23 "So on October 10th 1998 the ride closed to go under a renovation. Then after a rather short renovation it opened again on October 1st 1998..." That must have been one insanely short renovation to reopen 9 days before the renovation even started!
November 1st? 😂
😂
Sure felt that way... :/
I swear I came to the comments to find ur comment¡¡¡ I thought I was trippin for a sec smh lol... Thanks for ur comment👍🏾💯👍🏾💯
The current Figment in the ride we have now isn't the Figment I know and love. He feels like a cynical and obnoxious shadow of his former self and not that sweet little kid who's curious and asking questions to his "dad", the Dreamfinder. Hell, the comics Marvel and the Imagineers helped make are spot-on with the characterizations of the little dragon and Dreamfinder and I recommend both series, Figment 1 and 2. They're both amazing and have great artwork and stories.
Thank you! I've never been to EPCOT but ever since I found out about Figment I've been obsessed! I was just looking at getting the comics and then I saw this comic. I just ordered them, thank you! ❤
Never been outside Australia but I’d love to experience Walt Disney World and EPCOT Center at some point. Figment is one of my favourite Disney characters so I wanna experience the ride at least once.
I love the comics too.
I think they need to keep the imagination pavilion. Imagination is the face of EPCOT. Figment is the face of EPCOT. What disney needs to do is bring back the original Journey into Imagination with new and modern effects and technology. And that thrill ride you where talking about should be put in Japan like the original plans or put a ride in the empty building behind Germany. EPCOT needs a lot of work and thats what they need to do first. Also bring back Horizons
yes all of this!! a revamp of epcot that keeps the original feel but with modern technology!!
Or ditch Frozen and bring back Maelstrom!
I think they could still put a Canada log flume, but rather than it taking the space of the Imagination pavilion, expand the Canada pavilion into World ShowPlace. Then they could bring back the original Journey into Imagination, put in a new 4-D show in the Magic Eye Theater, and reopen Imageworks on the second floor
yeah i agree with this. the building's architecture is so big and angular that it provides a good chunk of the EPCOT atmosphere of optimistic visions of the future. If torn down, it would suffer from rigid modernism or some loose post-modernism that would distort the park's immersive experience.
keep the building, clean it up, and install a new ride or experience there!
yess!
Epcot in general terribly needs a revamp, the entire park feels outdated. :( and it's my favorite park!
Yeah I agree
I am sort of glad (I hope for a huge revamp even if i am unable to see it in person) my memories of Epcot where when Horizons was still there, The Living Seas was the old way (cant say i dont like the new way though), World of Motion was dated but still fun, and Wonders of Life was open year round ....
Glad to see the ride inside spaceship earth and Living with the Land are still there.
I'd actually like them to redo the Energy pavilion (always boring to me) and make THAT a sort of ... (at least inside if not outside) 2016+ redo of Horizons ... only looking forward from 2016
Amanda Miller yeah
Isaac Miller I think it's perfectly fine the way it is and they shouldn't change anything
@@classycrock I strongly Disagree with that, Architechture all around the Park looks very outdated, Animatronics are old and unconvincing, Effects have lost their luster, old rugs that simply just need replacing, indoor areas often smell like moisture, I could go on. But most of the issues could be resolved if Disney payed more attention to EPCOT.
I wish Disney ponied up the money and redid the Imagination ride and add the DreamFinder back. Maybe make it something similar to the original.
For my six hour drive back to college I listened to all of your abandoned and bankrupt videos. I listened to nothing else, and I have no regrets. Love the videos man!
I like the glass piramids for some reason. Even if it looks like a futurustic building from the 80's.
dang that transition for the ad was perfect I didn't even see it come literally
Those coke machines are everywhere?!
YEAH YEAH
Some fast food restaurants, like Jack in the Box and Burger King, are even getting them. It's insane how much stuff they have in them for flavors.
they are pretty impressive
Idea: Mix every Coke flavor into one for Super Coke
They are a product of Wisconsin engineering!
my grandma told me stories about how she took my mom and uncle and aunt there when they were kids, she said it was great and its a shame it closed. ( They went there in the 1980's )
I can't wait until Disney finishes renovating Animal Kingdom and The Studios so they can finally give Epcot the attention it deserves. They could make an Inside Out themed dark ride to replace Figment, and that would be a huge improvement.
Plus, the art design in Inside Out matches the Pavillion quite well already. Disney wouldn't have to tear down the building or even alter it's appearence. They could either keep the Imagination theme or just change the theme to Emotions. Either way, an Inside Out theme could be educational and entertaining.
Oh, that's right, we have to wait for Hollywood Studios to finish construction... Epcot won't get updated for a good long while.
Actually, I'd rather hoped that Inside Out would resurrect the Wonders of Life pavilion. (You can't tell me that Cranium Command--which Pete Docter worked on, I believe--didn't influence it!)
I'd also hoped that when Disney/Marvel released that Dreamfinder comic book that a return to the original Journey into Imagination format might be in the offing. It takes a lot out of a devout Monty Python fan to say this, but Eric Idle just didn't cut it.
Wait! I've got a great idea! How about a ride based on that movie Frozen? HEY, WHY ARE YOU ALL THROWING ROCKS AT ME? LOL.
No more Pixar rides.
As someone who would find an attraction like this right up their alley, and who actually saw it but never entered it, I was tremendously heartbroken by this video. I wonder what'll become of Figment. That adorable little dragon has to live on!
We got to experience the original pavilion in the late 80's. When we returned in the late 90's, we were very disappointed that it wasn't there. It was one of our favorites.
My parents went to Epcot on their honeymoon in ‘89 and the photo of my mom in the rainbow tunnel is my favorite photo of her. She’s so beautiful. 💗
Those coke machines are in about 80% of the restaurants in my area. Jake you need to get out more. Lol
Canada is apparently different
Yeah I have one in my grocery store
There's a couple places in Toronto that have them if memory serves, but I've mostly seen them at USF lol
+Bright Sun Films Yea, they've started popping up everywhere in American restaurants. Go to Five Guys next time you're in the USA for burgers and Infinity Coke Options. Your stomach won't regret it.
yeah is called "AMERICA" xD
Interesting how many cuts they made yet kept hiking the prices.
I saw on the news either last month or a few weeks ago that Disney had hiked up the prices YET AGAIN, and said they did it as a method to "prevent overcrowding". AS! IF! No matter the pricing, people somehow STILL can afford it and crowd the parks.
It think the price hikes, somehow, are the cause of overcrowding. Before it was like, "we can go to Disneyland/World whenever we want, it's cheap." Now, everybody in their mother saves up because they go on that one day.
Thats a really crappy way of running a business. I understand from a safety perspective but if the crowds are overcrowded then people will be bound to go to their hotels to eat or disney springs or the water parks and keep the money within the property. Universal isnt much better but christ they need to do a better job
The one thing that is consistent...price increases.
Hey y'all, want to pay $120 to see Eric idle yelling at a CGI dragon?
In my fictional world, this place never gets abandoned and still successful
"Infamous," You keep using that word... I do not think it means, what you think means.

Ben Mason I know what it means lol was just my way of agreeing to the comment above me lol
Nice protoman pfp
El guapo was in famous
Nice movie reference. Looks like no one else watched the Princess Bride
Love the series so much have watched every episode about 100 times. These are no doubt the best videos on CZcams right now. Please keep them up and don't change a thing about them, they are fantastic
It would be heartbreaking to see Figment evicted from EPCOT again, but you're right. As much as I love EPCOT, it's depressingly empty and dated now. It breaks my heart to walk past the abandoned Wonders of Life pavilion and know Buzzy is just sitting in the dark, blinking at an empty theatre and scaring the shit out of the new Maintenance Cast Members who have to make sure he still gets power.
I agree with the world showcase needing a better ride(s). I was devastated when the Epcot Norway boat ride, Maelstrom, closed. That was one of my favorite rides at Epcot as a kid.
Same
Extremely Depressing. As a young child Figment was my dude. Figgy!
Oh god another audible sponsored channel 😂
Something wrong with that?
+Ryan Neely Its kinda good, since they are helping lots of people.
+radicalgamer74331 no I was joking jeez no need to attack me
+Skeletonz Im not attacking. Was just asking a question.
At least he transitioned well
I thought your plans of expanding Canada in World showcase is brilliant.
This for some reason has always been one of my favorite abandoned videos.
The original Figment ride was my childhood favorite. I remember wanting to go on it again and again with my dad.
I had so many Figment toys. I loved that little dragon.
I got to go back to Disney a few years ago, and hearing Journey Into Imagination - I HAD to go on my favorite ride.
Only to be devastated by the hollowness that had been carved out.
I think I cried when I got off the ride.
To see something that I had such fond memories of with my father being stripped down to a shallow, empty mess was heart wrenching.
Honestly Epcot needs a total revamp when I went last year it completely sucked.
it could but that would be after the revamp of animal kingdom and the studios
I think it's fine I love epcot
I love Epcot.
+Michelle Rekuc thanks for agreeing with me
Just take away Mission Space and Test Track and add in some more interesting and fun rides.
The transition to sponsor was so smooth it was like someone rubbed it with sandpaper.
Happy 100,000 subscribers, Jake! (Also happy 4 years of CZcams, I hope the site has treated you well.) I hope you're channel grows immensely with content, and fans.
the transition into the audible ad was so smooth omg
I need a time machine to go back to the 80's Epcot.
I got to go in ‘84 - it was *great…* and Journey into Imagination was _the best part!_ that, and Kitchen Cabaret, are what embedded themselves in my mind. Figment and Dreamfinder’s song - “iiii-MA-A-A-A-A-gi-NA-A-A-A-AY-shunnn…” - pops into my head unbidden to this day at least once a week!!
@@danopticon I'm suddenly getting a lot of people commenting on 4 year old posts I don't event remember and I;m completely fine with it
@@moekitsune - It happens to us all! 😉
They should've made a meet the robinsons exhibition on the second floor!
It won't happen, Disney forgot about that movie

Walk through the lab at the end of the film
This is SO refreshing to hear your excellent narrative after watching the sky ride video. You're so great at this!
Journey Into Imagination was the highlight of my family's trip to WDW back in 1990, so it kind of hurts to see it like this. But if it still existed in that state, it would feel pretty outdated, sort of like Tomorrowland pre-revamp. And Epcot as a whole sounds like it's kind of like that right now, which is a shame as it was definitely my favorite park at WDW. Whatever Disney ultimately decides to do with the Imagination Pavilion and the rest of the park, I hope it's as wonder-inspiring to today's kids as what I saw 27 years ago. And that Figment is in there somewhere.
We need Figment to come stronger than ever. Ditch the Eric Idol thing and give us our little purple dragon!
Well at least Dreamfinder and Figment got that their own Marvel Comics mini-series
Ah, I totally remember going in this pavilion on all of my childhood trips to Disney (1990, 1997, and 1999), and rode all the versions of Journey into Imagination. I've seen Captain EO and Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and I'm sad that either of them are there anymore. This was a great pavilion!
My kids loved this ride in the 80's when we took them to WDW. In fact, all of WDW was GREAT. We went recently took our grandchildren. Covid issues aside - we were very disappointed with this ride and the rest of WDW. It has become way too expensive for what you get. A lot of the best rides are gone or were closed. The place just didn't seem as family friendly as I remember it. I think this was our last trip for a long time.
You know youve made it when you have audible in the description 😂😂 loved the video
I'm still having trouble believing it ;)
This has got to be one of my favorite channels on CZcams. keep up the good work, Jake!
Thanks so much!
why not river country and discovery island
never mind
this channel is probably the most entertaining and best youtube channel that i have ever watched. I appreciate all your time and effort, your doing an amazing job!
I live in Orlando and I'm just fascinated by all these videos. Bringing back memories!
Am I the only guy who thinks that Epcot would be the best place for a really good Inside Out themed attraction?
Dominick Benson they are thinking of it. As of right now, WDW is scoping locations in epcot for Guardians of the Galaxy and a location in Magic Kingdom for Wreck It Ralph. There's a few empty future world pavilions that they could do things for
wellp they did announce today their taking away the ellen one, the energy one, for the guardians of the galaxy (which is a shame i really enjoyed the ellen one) and they are making the tron in magic kingdom alonside space mountain. shame that they did not announce wreck it ralph
It would be a great excuse to not just revamp Wonders of Life (It was looking kind of dated in technology) but allow it to be open again.
Ellen's Energy Adventure was a family favorite - we rode it several times, and we all enjoyed it immensely (my brother and I were Bill Nye fans, even my parents really like him). My mom and I rode it during our girls' weekend in early 2007, but that was the last time any of us had been on it. I'm sad to hear it closed, since my fiancee and I are going on our honeymoon to Disney when we marry next year, and I really wanted him to see that show.
Blade O’Brian A GOOD one. Not the garbage their pumping out today.
we need another Adandoned Episode! these are great!! keep up the great work. Because its better than good!

I've been in the DVC Member Lounge, and it's *fantastic*. They keep extending the closing date of it, and I really do hope it sticks around. If they brought back Dreamfinder and restored the ride back to more of what it was back in the 80s, and made ImageWorks actually FUN again, the pavilion would be fine with some cosmetic touch ups.
your mention of innovations sparked memories i forgot i had. sponsored by gaming companies in the 90s i instantly fell in love. please do a video on innovations
Oh boy... The second floor is currently a Disney Vacation Club lounge... Not Abandoned... Although yes, previously it was closed... However I would never consider it abandoned... Discovery Island and River Country on the other hand- abandoned.
+BlueLice Circus (ErBear) did you even watch the video?9
+Bright Sun Films I'll admit I wrote the comment only about a minute in but nonetheless I wouldn't have considered the area abandoned as I'm sure even before it was turned into a dvc lounge that specific CMs must have had access... I apologize if my comment came off as rude, not my intention. But before the top was renovated I've seen CMs walk down from the steps, showing that although guests didn't have access the area wasn't abandoned... It's kind of like saying Wonders of Life is abandoned *except during flower and garden*, the word abandoned just doesn't seem to fit...
+BlueLice Circus (ErBear) Although the 2nd floor of the imagination building is a Vacation club lounge, It was abandoned for quite a while.
Abandoned- forsaken or deserted
The Imagination 2nd floor WAS abandoned. It was just sitting there for a while. +Bright Sun Films talks about when it WAS abandoned. It was deserted and Jake talks about the history of it. I disagree with your statement.
+Brian Hogan Yes but if cast members had access then it wasn't abandoned, just closed to the public...
+BlueLice Circus (ErBear) Good point.
If there's one thing I do not want taken away from Epcot, it's Figment. I have loved Figment since I was little. I still go to the ride everytime I visit Epcot. I have always been aware of the ride's condition however.
If they're planning on closing the ride, atleast make a new ride for Figment and this time with Dreammaker. Then everyone will be happy and live happily ever after.
well done Mr. Jake. I actually stood up and applauded when it was over. Cinematic masterpiece.
I still have the original stuffed Figment bought as a gift from my mom when it first opened...loved it!

I love the random sponsor drop, it worked and was humorous. Almost reminded me of Wayne's World product placement scene.
The way things are looking now with them just opening Frozen... Epcot probably won't get a new ride until 2025
Smooth transition to sponsor xD
Pretty smooth right?
+Bright Sun Films hey what's your favorite Disney ride
7:47 real nice, half the jets are messed up. cracks me up every time. thank you Jake!
Wow, that was actually a really well done audible ad. Normally I hate those, but this one flowed in so naturally and really made sense. Kudos.
The dark truth is that the "supposedly imaginary" Figment grew up to become a full sized dragon. Disney covered this by using animatronic figures in his place; but for years a dragon roamed the inside of the building feasting on maintenance workers and the occasional guest. Guests dying of "heart problems" on the space ride? Nope. Eaten by gators at Disney's lake. Not a chance. More like eaten by an imaginary dragon.
For years they kept the upstairs closed hoping Figment would move on. Finally, he got a job with "Game of Thrones" and was gone. Disney quickly covered their tracks by inserting a "VIP lounge" in some of the upstairs areas. Other parts of the building were still closed due to the overwhelming smell of dragon poop. Plans to demolish the building are continuously postponed as Disney scrambles to hide the bones of Figment's last meals. Now you know. Enjoy your stay.....

"INFAMOUS" does not mean "FAMOUS" ... at the top of your spiel ... OK?
i am so grateful that i got to enjoy this ride in it's prime! 💕
i still look to my little figment statue for inspiration. 🤗
sometimes the good old days really were a little better.....
Lowkey crying bc you guys noticed me!!! 😂😭 thanks keep up the great work!!!!
rewatching this and ... idea wise (not counting cost wise) its easy ... just make it the way it was when so many people loved it ... WITH MUCH updated technology though.... this ride from what I see of the current version is annoying looking ... then going back and watching the 80's version with the dreamfinder ... i STILL LOVE it (figuring maybe I outgrew the whole thing ... that way of thinking) ... and I'd love to see a redone second floor the way it was in the 80's with new stuff that reflects modern technology
If they were going to build something new in futureworld ... I still say redo (where? how?) Horizons and looking forward from say 2016... inspire people .... that is what I remember about Epcot when I was there lucky enough to see the World of Motion (other than that cool exterior ... I admit even that that was dated), the living Sea, Wonders of Life AND in MK ... 20,000 Leagues under the sea. In so many ways I think they dont have to create all new things but redo/fix/use modern technology to bring back the stuff people loved, that they took away.
Abandoned: Celebration City Branson MO
This was my FAVORITE attraction at Disney when I was a kid (the 80s.) I still have the full-size Figment bought in the second floor store. I'm very disappointed that so much won't be there for my daughter to see.

+Bright Sun Films Hey... I was wondering. Since you did a Chernobyl video, maybe you could do something for Three Mile Island? I believe the plant, is either entirely or partially abandoned.
Your content and knowledge is just spectacular. I really enjoy these series. Thank you!
With nostalgia at its peak of popularity in pop culture right now, if they were to just bring back the original Journey Into Imagination as it was in the 80s (revamped with modern technology, as suggested below) and might I say not change the appearance of Dreamfinder and Figment-- even in a new building (which pains me to say), can you imagine how many people would flock to Epcot JUST to see that ride again?! Thank you so much for this amazing video and all the information!!!
Please do CENTRALIA, PENNSYLVANIA!!!!! aka the real silent hill

Seriously can't get enough of the abandoned series especially Disney/universal.
You should do an abandoned for Rocky Point Park in Rhode Island.

Herocrafter945 yes, and i want more about abandoned malls, I am sorry if it appeared that i did not know about it.
+Bright Sun Films I've been watching your "Abandoned" videos for a couple of months. and are growing on me. Since you done some vids involving Disney I would love to see you do one about a indoor Disney theme park that was in Chicago. I know they closed it down a long time ago, but I think it would make for a interesting video.
Cool video I love it. Personally I think Disney should work on putting in rides buildings based on tomorrowland, road to witch mountain, Atlantis: the lost empire, & the TRON franchise. Those movies are really good and has the futuristic feel that EPCOT needs. But I looks like that they are only caring about how much money they can make out every family on the planet.
It's rumored that they are considering revamping the ride re-themed as Inside Out. They're also gonna give Figment his own show in the theatre, replacing Pixar Film Festival!
its so cool to learn about how and why places become abandoned
In the first renovation of the ride, Figment was missing entirely. That's why people hated it. That ride was replaced quickly, keeping Eric Idle as Dr Nigel Channing but adding Figment back in a much more prominent role. It's better now than it was the first time they changed it, but it's not as good as it was originally. I say, combine Figment with the cast of Inside Out and you've got a worthy dark ride once again.
One criticism: your use of the word "infamous" is a bit out of place. Infamy is fame with a negative connotation; something that is "infamous" is usually famous for being bad or immoral or of poor quality. In this video, you often use the word "infamous" to describe things that are remembered fondly and generally considered good. It's just a bit confusing, is all.
Celebration City in Branson MO
that audible ad...such a smooth transition. I gasped...this is how baked-in ads on youtube should be! :O
I've always loved the design of that building, despite how dated it looks
You should try to do Centralia in Pennsylvania
Yes yes he should I be. trying to recommend that for 3 videos now hoping he does it I live like 5 min. away from there it's cool
+Donald Trump yeah it would be a nice video
Jake mentioned that is Canadian, so a trip down to Centralia might be more trouble than it's worth. I don't even know if Centralia would make an interesting video, there's not much to "show". On satellite imagery, all the structures have been removed. It's just a series of empty residential streets that lead nowhere.
he could make it interesting by also discussing the abandoned turnpike, and the history of Breezewood.
Ive thought the same thing.. Epcot needs a revamp for the future part. It all just seems too 80s/90s.
We were there right after EPCOT first opened (right around New Year's 1983). The Journey Into Imagination ride was not yet opened, but Image Works was, and we saw the original movie attraction, "Magic Journeys", which had some really cool 3-D.
Love watching these when I'm at Disney
