Hey Thanks for your video on axels. You do a great job explaining everything! I have to do mine on a 78 Bronco and will follow your instructions. I’m getting older but still plugging along in my garage. Thanks again…

Thanks! Getting ready to do my 66 F100, same process. It's great to see it before doing the work. Probably saved me some time and money!

A good use for messed axles is sharpen the end and use it as an anchor for winching yourself out. You drive it into the ground (with an 8lb sledge) at about 45* facing in the direction you want to go. Once you get past it, you call pull the anchor out with your rig.
Really enjoy see y'all breath new life into a Gen 1 Bronco.

Thanks Ken! I have not thought of that. Our next build will be a trail rig and will probably need one.

Last night I put the axle is the chest freezer and heated the bearing to 250F. It slid right on with no press.

I learned this lesson the hard way in my younger day my 77’s bearing exploded in the Press and one of the balls put a 1/4 inch hole in my lip and knocked a tooth back ! Good times

Great video....I was going to try to make it to the bronco meet as well....but like you....didn’t want to just watch. Hopefully my rebuild kit for my transfer case will be in tomorrow. Keep the videos coming... I always find something in the that I either didn’t know or was doing it the hard way.

Chester, thanks for watching. I did one video modifying the crossmember to fit the AOD. The transmission is at the rebuilder now and I should be picking it up soon. We will show all the details how to get it installed. We should be to that point by sometime next month. Thanks again.

Hi , currently rebuilding a 61 ford F100 axle - that part no. for the bearing would really be helpful . Based in South Africa - no O'Rielly's in this part of the world .
