If I remember correctly, e en the Gypsy had rear mounted spare wheel. So the Jimmy is not the first from Suzuki yo have this

Thank you so much.. Means a lot especially from someone who himself watches a lot of these videos.. Jimny is definitely a car with a few drawbacks... But the attention it gets on the roads( bad ones too) makes me forget a lot of its shortcomings..
Not the first maruti to have a rear spare wheel. Gypsy and Grand Vitara had it before. The previous versions of Jimny have been on roads outside India.

Have been driving mine for two months now and I love it ! I do have three problems with this car though:
1) Non-adjustable driver seat.
2) Lack of bottle holders (the two bottle holders have been eaten up by the aftermarket armrest).
3) The touchscreen should have been a little smaller/rectangular (something like in the new Seltos), more in a straight horizontal line/symmetry with the dashboard. Would increase visibility and made the cabin more open. A massive touchscreen is actually never used.

I struggled with the huge touch screen when I took it out on a long trip last week.. So totally feel you bro.. N bang on with the slight hindrance of visibility because of the 9 inch.. 7 would have been just perfect.. But having said that.. Every time I drive.. I forget all the niggles.. Such a fun machine to drive!!
What's the mileage you are getting??
@@mahi98goodguyOwnership of 3months (5,000kms). 12kmpl, in mix of city and highway conditions during the last one month. Prior to that it was 11/kmpl. Also note, there is tyre upgrade to 215/75-R15, which eats up approx 1/kmpl.

I had the same apprehension about Jimny.. But the build quality is solid.. If you hold the bonnet for some time, your arms will start aching.. The doors too feel heavy..
Jimny is a purpose built car with its own set of compromises.. It is brilliant in its craft and practical too..
Yes, having driven a lot of suvs before.. There are a few shortcomings in terms of indoor space and power delivery.. But, like i said.. You should take it to off roads and test it's potential..
It's a practical off roader and no other vehicle does it the way Jimny does..
Good coverage, Partner. BTW, when are you going to remove the plastic cover from the S logo on the wheel ?? Please mention FE figures you have achieved in city and highway runs. As a family car, this matters, if being used as a daily drive. Thanks.
Thanks bro!! It's very hard to get rid off anything. .But, the Plastic cover is now gone.. Thanks to some inputs i have received regarding it's cons.. City F. E is 11.5 to 12 while on highway runs, it hovers around 16..

Just a small correction, it’s not the first Suzuki / Maruthi Suzuki to have a rear mounted wheel.

To be honest Sir.. I haven't got the opportunity yet.. But I looked into the internet after your comment and found this to be an irritating glitch.. Saw a few videos where international customers have tried to bypass it..

Wonderful review !!!. K15C is not a turbo , if I am right . I am a 70 year old , have owned a Skoda Yeti earlier , have set my heart on the Zeta Manual (cheapest variant , even cheaper now with 2 lakh discount) . Do you suggest the AT ?? Mostly city driving , some highway and very very occasional off-roading.

No DIY but have found a few Amazon links for the item.. Costs about 800 bucks.. Now that you have said DIY, I am thinking how about motorcycle gear sleeves.. Just saying..

4 speed vs 5speed.. The revs climb up earlier in the AT and also for the slight gain in mileage..
I do understand that in the trickiest of situations, AT would help the car crawl better.. But that's a trade off I have accepted ..

Good review, but please take off the plastic from the co-passenger seat as there are side airbags in the car. You don't want to get injured.

@@triplecarry no problem bro. Even I am getting one delivered this November. You do get airbag friendly seat covers for Jimny from MGA. These covers are open in the side at the point where the airbags deploy. Never install any other closed seat covers even the ones claiming to be Airbag friendly. Why would I launch a 3 door when a 5 door lauch( competition) is just around the corner.. ( also given that the consumers wanted more practicality in terms of space and comfort).. Anyway.. You should do some research first, for offroad vehicles tyre size matters not rim size. Almost every jimny owner is putting 215's in thier car which is 27.7 inch, that is good for jimny's size.
It's not value for money , because at least they have given a minimum 16" wheel , at least 4 bottles of 1 ltr in back and front both , and as space for other utility also very less😢😢 , back side Thai support is worst and little under power 😢😢 , it's a not very practical vehicle as even 3 people can not sit properly on back side.
It's a 4 seater bruh.. Yes it has its drawbacks, but it's a practical offroader for sure!!
