- At long last I’ve started buying NEW KOI.
The long-awaited trips to see Lee Hadfield and OAKI Koi South Wales to look at new fish for my main pond and new grow-on finally happened.
I didn’t get exactly what I wanted (yet???) but I did come away with 4 new koi and the plan is for more to follow.

Hi I'm over in Birmingham and was wondering where you obtained the wire mesh for your pond covers from? 😅 Really nice fish probably bigger than @leehadfield 🤣🤣
Hello there🖐. The wire mesh was something I spotted at our local Farm shop (glorified garden centre) . They were 3ft x 6ft plastic coated wire sheets/panels for fencing or chicken pens, etc. you can also get them off eBay for a lot less than I paid for my first couple of panels. The big plus for this sort of thing is that they are virtually self supporting so only need a lightweight frame. Hope this helps👍
