That storyline broke my heart , Jeanâs portrayal of someone suffering an episode was outstanding, the scenes last night just show how wonderful jean and Stacey are as actors, well done ladies đđđđ
They both did brilliant work, the scene in the house of mirrors was powerful. Iâm not sure what awards are given in the UK, maybe the BAFTAS, but both, especially Gilllian should be nominated for an award.
The pair are the best actors on TV, in my opinion. Powerful portrayal. Well done !!!

The latest episode of Eastenders was so well done. The acting, location and use of music. The use of The First Picture of You by Lotus Eaters captures Jeans bipolar so well. The highs when your bipolar are super high then you crash which is why at the end she screamed when she realised she wasnât going to see Daniel. So heartbreaking. Best episode of 2022 so far. I havenât seen an episode of Eastenders like that for years.
As someone with bipolar wow the episode lastnight was absolutely amazing if lacey and Jill don't win an award I'll be shocked!! Absolutely fantastic acting all round and highlighting important real life issues which people often get confused about
Wasnât surprised how well they both acted this out! They smash every mental health storyline they get.
They should be proud of themselves, such a powerful scene!
I watched the episode last night. It was a brilliant performance by Gillian Wright. Lacey Turner also gave a strong performance -it was like watching old EastEnders. One of the best scenes in a long time.
Jeanâs story is heartbreaking. Hopefully sheâll get the help she needs. Brilliant behind the scenes look.

My Mum had bi polar. I say had because she passed away a few years ago. No one can truly understand what a difficult condition it is, unless you have experience of it first hand. Not only to live with yourself but for those around you. Brilliant acting, Gillian portrays the character so well. Incredible actress. Thank you Eastenders for continuing to cover Jean's illness in such powerful and emotional scenes!
I'm from Southend, absolutely wonderful episode. I used to work in Adventure Island! That sea at Shoebury East Beach will have been freezing, fantastic acting! Actually brought me to tears đ First Picture of You, wonderful choice of tune, it was out when my daughter was born, fills me with the 'chant of newborn singing'... beautiful đ

As someone who is going to be studying mental health nursing, this story line was so interesting to watch as it shows the truth about how mental health is handled in this countryâs current situation. From the stressed out NHS with paramedics being too overworked to want to take Jean to hospital to the hospital to the police being ignorant about mental health to not having enough space to accommodate Jean in a quieter part of the ward etc etcAmazing! Which we had more like this on TV! The lady that plays Jean is an incredible actor đ€©
I love both how Stacey and jean portray their characters on set. They are a great duo. I really hope that stacey gets back together with Maritn after this, because Martin has always been their to support her and he really understands what they both go through with their Bipolar.
Martin loved her. I know this all as to do with Lacey's baby but they shouldn't have done that divorce and hook up with that other cow.. great actress that one is too, Ruby, but I hate her character. Let someone go to jail coz youre sad about your baby.. and take her husband. yucky.
Gillian Wright is doing a brilliant job as a bi-polar person. It really hits home for me. My late brother was bi-polar and we lost him in 2001. Brava EastEnders.

My mama was just like this. Suicide is a major thing w/manic depressive bipolar. I'm assuming it's a suicide attempt (if I'm wrong I'm sorry but I can't watch it on TV anymore so I can only watch these clips) & it's just like this in real life. Good job guys

Jean has been pretty dominant the past few yearsâŠnot sure whyâs sheâs acting like sheâs only been support for a few yesrs. She had the Daniel/Cancer and ruby fuedsâŠ
Characters who had potential like Iqra and Mila were ignored with practically their whole storyline happening off screen and barely featuring and other long term characters like Jay and Lola never get any storylines at all. Gillian is lucky but the character needs and extremely long break from the show especially after this storyline. Also bipolar storylines for both Jean and Stacey are becoming boring. Iâd rather the characters have something different.

Why do people over exaggerate mental health on TV.đ
I work in the mental health field and have family members with bipolar . unfortunately this isnât exaggerated and is quite realistic of what can happen in a manic episode / psychosis.
@@MG-qe2xd one of my family members is dealing with something and we are not sure what it is. He goes out at night and gets into fits. Once he could barely be held down by about 4 big grown men and he's only a small teenager and he's quite weak (skinny). What do you think it is?
Why is everyone acting as if this was such an important episode. You make it sound as if itâs as a big a deal as Grayâs comeuppance.
P.S. I thought this are change to finally be rid of Jean. I guess I will continue to be subjected to her extremely annoying character.

Anyone that has it or even lives with it it's horrendous ,and extreamly upsetting.
So please have a bit of respect for those suffering.
These story lines are to bring awareness to other's.
Maybe one day you will come across someone who has it show some compassion.
PS You don't have to watch if it annoys you that much.
