Griffin made a good point that trauma and depression can cause a person to be easily agitated. Most people only recognize sadness or low motivation as depression symptoms, but he's right.
I like that they insert knowledge about nutrition, wilderness survival, kidnapping rescues, and lots of miscellaneous information in the videos
hearing this story as audio-only without watching the video for context, it sounds like a glorified DnD session amd im all for it

i think the goblin slayer just wanted to give the girl a chance at retribution and heal her sanity. sometimes the direct way is way better than years of therapy
Agreed, by killing the Goblins in the castle, she gets tangible evidence that she herself helped kill the goblins that killed her friends. I believe one of the reasons why Goblin Slayer can lie down is because he can never get "vengeance" for his sister or village. He will never know if he killed the goblin horde that ruined his life, because how could he? So he wants to kill all the goblins because it's the only sure fire way he can attain his vengeance.
Sometimes... In fiction. But it would be a common thing to believe in allowing someone to fight for revenge.

Honestly the only good thing about Goblin Slayer was its beginning.
The first episode of it was really strong but then it became normal.
cause it make sense when u first see it, it hits strong cause its new and it gets normal and used to him cause u got to know more as the saying goes it hits hard then slowly feel normal.

It reminds me of the Castlevania Netflix series where the average human is terrified of vampires and monsters while the heroes are just desensitized to the horror elements of the creatures so take them down like oversized pests
It feels like a fantasy Slice of Life. It's basically Adventurer Guild daily life with small low level adventures which is... kinda cool? I like the premise for a SoL show, it's pretty unique in what it does. SoL might be boring to many, but that's like saying Yuru Camp is an insanely lame franchise even though it's absurdly big and popular and they only sit on chairs and eat rice in front of campfires there. Something about an adventurer group camping and sitting in a guild tavern has its weird comfy appeal.
I like the world, the setting, the Adventurer Guild ranks, the SoL. The character designs are 10/10. But the entire novel/anime is just a 6/10 or 7/10 at best for me only because it doesn't have a story. There are some implications about the dark god and the Green Moon, and apparently a hero exists who defeated the Demon King in episode 4. But that should've been the background story all along imo, the consequences of the hero's journey to defeat the big baddie while the low level protagonists stay at home.
