"What bank manager would have a sawed off shotgun in his office?"
A bank manager in Gotham.
Well he was sitting in a glass office. Plus the bank was a mob bank.
I don't think he was a manager. I always figured the dude was a monster guarding everything. Not an employee
Michael
Dude, William Fichtner was credited as “Bank Manager.” It’s in the credits.
I like that he still appreciates the twist acknowledging that it's a movie and therefore kind of saying what you said. A lot of these "expert reacts to" type of videos have people that just seem annoyingly nitpicky complainers.

This guy's a professional. He's been planning this job for 9 months.

The dark knight scenes were explained later.
Those were mob run private banks, and the manager was a mob plant (you knew that) but all that cash was just recently put there. Each of those carts belonged to a different mob boss. Remember the pencil scene? The squealer on the tv convinced them to hide their money from the police by putting them all into the banks that one of them owned. Because of Batman they all had to start working together and were in the process of essentially cashing out of the crime game. They all planned to essentially take their money and run from Batman.
So the tables of cash wasn’t normal, it was just a rush job to hide all of their liquid assets from the bat and commish. (Future commish.)
P.s. that bank manager was just left on the floor with the grenade in his mouth… why didn’t he just grab it and hold the spoon after joker left? I always wondered that. Panic I guess… but his hands were free.
But they didn't put their money together until after the first scene bank robbery shown in the movie.
That wasn't their rush job combined money in the bank that Joker stole.
He was shot repeatedly in both arms nd legs so he couldn't pull it out
And after the pencil scene the money was moved to one location, the O.P is correct that the TV dude had them using mob banks before that but Batman was tracking them
I'm loving it, this man went from stealing jewels to stealing our attention in these entertaining youtube videos, even 2 years later its still great to see! keep it up!

Bank robberies here in WA state are relatively common, legality aside, it's just not a line of work that you're going to make any money at these days. The average take is less than a thousand dollars and you'd have to be pulling a job just about every week in order to be making minimum wage. Doing that for any length of time without getting caught is just not going to happen.
People robbing banks are doing it for reasons other than the money, hence the comment he made about jewellery stores. Those places, will have tons of valuables laying around, assuming that you can actually get into the cases. Not recommending it, but those places also tend to have more security just because of that.

@@Mean_Jean it woudn't help if someones to stupid to learn. But smarter guys could get something out of this for sure
Piro Man eh, if you’re robbing you’re *probably* not that smart to begin with, granted they might spend a lot of time and dedication to the perfect heist, but as he says in the video, you’ll get caught. And lets not forget a lot of these “facts” and details are based on past things he used to do, technology has gone a long way, and people learn to make new ways to avoid a heist or have contingency plans, if a person making a heist takes a whole year to prepare, + uses old information, he’s bound to be caught by something off guard, panic, and/or make a small but significant mistake.
So i wouldn’t say it helps anyone trying to commit a heist, if anything it might help people who want to know how to deal against one or better understand the situation of a heist.(not knowing anything about how something dangerous works just makes you more vulnerable to it- so i think this does slightly more good then bad, and the people that are dumb enough to only go by this info and think they can get away with it either would have still done it without videos like this- or will now do it and fail badly as a newbie due to having a false idea of how it works in reality and getting the wrong message from this video. )

Stop anthropomorphizing animals with criminal intent they don't possess.
le th Jesus Christ you really can’t take a joke can you? Also it’s *probably* a fucking bird feeder so no, it WASNT out there for them
@@starman8853 Um, when you place any "feeder" outside, you can call it whatever you want. It will not stop any other animal (squirrel or otherwise) from eating the food. That is even true for something as basic as a water or food bowl for a dog or cat. You can call it a dog food bowl, but you're a fool if you place it outside and think other animals (even mice and rats) will not eat out of it if they have an opportunity.

I can’t speak for all banks, but having been a former bank employee for one of the largest banks in the world, a lot of things were slightly incorrect. For example, we don’t just have dye packs or trackers on hand that we can just slip into a bag of cash. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of those devices ever.
And I’m surprised you didn’t mention, you don’t leave notes with the bank employees. We’re trained to keep them and show them to law enforcement because they can track handwriting techniques and whatnot.
And fun fact, we do catch “professionals” more than amateurs. Reason being, professionals develop patterns and tend to commit more of those crimes and that leads them into getting caught eventually. They’re also super cocky. Check out any cam footage or photos of a fraudster or robber and they’re always walking out with a shit eating grin.
Amateurs tend to strike once or twice and disappear, and they often times accidentally do the right thing (in terms of getting away) and overcompensate because they’re stressed out.
That being said, another great video Larry! I only point these things out because this is coming from a *modern* bank employee. Things could’ve changed since you were doing your stuff.
Brad Doan handwriting techniques are an ancient form of law enforcement. They’re are so many variables with it it’s usually not even consider unless it a last resort and there is no other evidence.
Dylan Zen well I’m sure they’re also kept for fingerprints and other things. I’m not sure. Some of these things are official law enforcement guidelines given to banks. We’re supposed to secure literally anything and everything that could link to the robber.
Excellent point. If you look at the FBI's page of unsolved bank robberies, there are A LOT, but they are all "small potatoes". A guy walked in with a note and the teller gave him the contents of their own drawer. The average "haul" from bank robberies is only $3,000. One of my favorite bank robber movies is "Bandits" with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton. One of the accurate things about it when they show that all banks have an "all clear" signal to let the employees know that it's safe to come in. What they don't show is that they change the all clear on a regular basis. An ex-room mate of mine had an Uncle who robbed a bank the same way as in the movie, by kidnapping the bank manager the night before. He and his girlfriend got caught because they were having an argument at a gas station and somebody called the cops. The cops went through their car and found the money in the back seat of the car.
Man things were easier back then everything has to be so fucking complicated nowadays I fucking hate it what if I want to rob a bank because lottery tickets aren’t doing it for me!!!
My mom was a teller for a bank back in the 80's and 90's and told me a lot of stories.
Back then dye packs were more common along with bags that had dye packs woven in.
Perhaps they're not used as much because criminals learned how to counter them effectively?
