"Mastermind" is actually based on a true story, surprisingly.
It is but they just filmed it in a comedic way. The real heist wasn’t that clumsy.

Review Die Hard 3, that heist was apparently based on a quite plausible scenario and the producers got a visit from the FBI after it came out wanting to know how they had so much knowledge about the gold vault and how risky it was right next to a subway tunnel - to which the writer had to tell them it was all publicly available information and he even got to go on a tour of the vault that is conducted for the public.

The best part about Masterminds, is that it actually was based off of the real life, 1997 Loomis Fargo Robbery; having an even more hilarious plot in real life, behind the writing/humor in the movie. So glad you covered this one Larry Lawton. Much love. Keep up the great content.

Review the netflix show Money Heist, it's a crazy show, very interesting and the heist leader is a very meticulous planner that knows every detail of all aspects of the job. 10/10 would recommend!

I recommend the series “Money Heist.” It’s about a team of nobody’s that become family due to 1 person, the professor. But they rob the royal mint of Spain and the bank of Spain and these are multi-stage heists that last a few days. if you want then react to it but it’s a good show

I really like your videos. I've watched them all, sometimes repeatedly. I think the way you relate the realities of prison life is as good a deterrent for the young people as I've ever heard. Could have used your wisdom back in the 80's, in my wild teens. How easy I could have been popped for so many things - rolling around with a buddy, loaded 12-guage in the back seat for easy access, fried on biker crank, looking for a guy that burned us for a hundred lot of acid.
I could so easily have been right there with you. Even just being pulled over, my life would have been fucked.

Came to your channel for the GTA breakdowns and stayed for everything else, love your stuff.
In 2010 in France a chain of grocery stores was robbed for over 800k through their pneumatic tube system. Don't think they caught them yet either.

30 minutes or less is one of those movies that turned a real heist into a comedy. The details have been changed for comedy's sake but the base scenario actually happened.
The British robbery you mention, they made a movie of it called the Hatton Garden Job.. Would LOVE to see you review that considering it's based on a real robbery!
