      And don't look at it as your a jobber. Your there to help your partner do very well and u can go along way as a "jobber" not many good enhancement talent these days they all want to flip a million times a match it seems

    I think that there are some mechanical elements you can practice at home but overall it's important that you learn from a trainer.
    Learning Ric Flair's string trick for throwing strikes is one thing but learning how to give and receive a suplex is a different beast entirely.

      Ric Flair string trick?

    • @Tornado_Christian_Winters
      @Tornado_Christian_Winters Před 8 měsíci +2

      The Ric Flair string trick is where Ric Flair would have a string up and he would give it a punch until he made contact but it didn't move so he got the punches right. I believe that is the story but correct me if I'm wrong

    There have been some people who have done surprisingly well as "yarders", but those sorts of people eventually tended to move on to more formal training. And said people are also VERY rare!

    Awesome video and info Mike!!!! Me and my mentor were just talking about learning to wrestle at and said the same info as you did. He just retired after 25 yrs in the business as a performer and has helped me tremendously. I don’t perform as much as most people so just to stay “up to date” is really helpful if my phone rings for a job. Thank you for all you do for the business Mike.

    Good vid as usual. Might I ask, have you ever put out a vid about how to locate a legitimate school? I am glad you are encouraging folks to get trained up, But I have herd more then one horror story about 12 week programs that ended in disaster. some guidance of how to identify a legit trainer/school and what to watch out could be worth covering, if ya all ready haven't.
