- Time lapse of a weeks work making 3 giant mushrooms. Foam tools used were from Hotwire Foam Factory. Mushrooms were hard coated with Styroplast from Hotwire Foam Factory. To make them stand up I put metal rebar into the ground and then slid the mushrooms over the top.

Kara, you have all the cool tools! I especially love how you cut the pvc channel, I will totally use that idea. So much easier!
I LOVE THESE GIANT MUSHROOMS! I'M JEALOUS OF YOUR TALENT.
This is incredible! I would love to be this good at something… still trying to find what my really good at but I still have plenty of time to find what I love! I just made a huge paper mache mask for my Halloween costume and I love it so much :)
Awesome work. Those came out great!
Brilliant as always!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Loved watching your process!
Love your work ❤️
Phenomenal!!! So fun to watch it all in timelapse.
You’re brilliant!! Someday I’ll have the space to play like this. For now I’ll learn. Thanks for teaching!
Amazing and beautiful work . I love Halloween but nice to see other things you can make with foam. Thank you so much for posting this 💙
She’s reeeally good!
This is exactly what I need for KY daughters new fairy garden themed room. I'm wanting it to look like a real life fairy garden in her room. This would be perfect. I wish I could hire you to come make one :) Amazing job!!
Fantastic awesome 🤩 great job, love your pumpkin 🎃 and the new mega 🍄 - greets from Munich, 〽️ario
So incredible! I am in awe of your work! I hope you don’t mind, I shared this video in a Facebook group.
Hi Kara!! this is great I need some of those Foam tools !!
Like an Alice in wonderland feel to it. Oh how I love thee
Love love love
Can't believe you're breathing all that dust and fumes.
Thank you for making this!!! Could you please share where can I buy the foam in blocks? Thank you
Where did u find the styrofoam pieces that large & round? Amazing job this is exactly what I’ve been wanting to create on my garden!
I would love to know were you get your blocks of foam at cause I would love to try one of your monster pumpkins for this years Halloween projects ??
I used to get my foam blocks from LA Foam but they no longer sell them 😣 I need to find a new supplier
@@karawalkerdesigns167 keep me informed on were you find if u dont mind , I love your ideas and creativity, keep it up I've got my friends that love going all out for Halloween watching ur videos , if you come up with Christmas stuff love to see it !!
You need to charge more for these... this is so much work.
where do you get blocks of styrofoam that big
Wow! This isso cool! What's stuff you put on the styrofoam directly? It looks like a watery clay or something?
So cool to watch. Thank you for sharing.
What kind of spray paint did you use before airbrush?
And just to confirm, you coated it with styroplast twice right? Once with hand, second with pouring. Did you add more water to styroplast the second time?
They look adorable. Are these for your home or do you do them for a Client? If you own home you must have the most fantastic house in the neighborhood. 🍄🍄🎃🍄
Thanks for sharing your process! Cool to see all your tools and techniques. What was the putty you used to fill the hard edges? Epoxy clay?
I used quick setting dry wall mud & EZ Karve epoxy clay
Hey Kara, love your work! Thanks for sharing your process. Was that a hardcoat you painted/poured on? What do you use? ☺️
I coated the mushrooms with Styroplast. A 2 part epoxy coating this is smooth like plastic which gives a more realistic look
I want to make these! How expensive did it all end up being?
Are there any good alternatives to styroplast that aren't super expensive? One thing I like to use is paper mache clay by ultimate paper mache here on youtube. It isn't outdoor/weather proof I don't think, so if anyone knows any alternatives, perhaps one we could mix up ourselves to save some of the cost...
Beautiful, where I can see the results? 😊
Gyönyörű a munkája köszönöm szépen csak szeretem volna látni hogyan teszi rá a tetejét és hogy mire való az a cső a közepébe
Did you thin out the styroplast for the underside of the mushroom?
where do you find the foam in that size?
I love them. What did you coat them with and would they last long outdoors?
Only I have this tiny back yard and I want to make it kinda magic
Hi, I used Styroplast by Hotwire Foam Factory. Yes they are exterior rated
Now THAT is a mushroom that I can get under.
how strong is the coating of ez carve + styroplast? if you dropped a hammer on it, would it leave a dent?
It’s not as strong as fiberglass. A hammer dropped on most coatings will leave a mark
What kind of glue was loaded into the caulking gun?
I'm also wondering this. I've used Silicon but it is problematic when it ends up where carving needs to happen.
Hi Kara, love your work. Can you tell me the type of caulking glue you use. I'm not thrilled with super 77.
Also your mushrooms are being used in a Facebook ad scam.
$39.00 each just an fyi.
When are you going to put a new videos?
Can I buy one?
hello just wondering how you glued your styrofoam together ?
was ti plaster and then a sealent over the plaster ?
Nice!
What glue did you use that didn’t interfere with the hot knife?
(And what was that paste you coated the caps in?)
The glue was Foam Fusion by Hotwire Foam Factory. It was coated in Styroplast by Hotwire as well
@@karawalkerdesigns167 Excellent. Thanks! They came out real nice! A commission for someones garden/park, or just home deco? 😊
Styroplast contains isocyonates which can kill you. Correct PPE would be an air fed mask, suit, gloves and eye protection...
What kind of foam is that
Hi, it’s white insulation foam
Or these for sale. 😍
These were made for a show on APPLE TV but I do sell large mushrooms in my shop. karawalkerdesigns.com
The structure is absolutely beautiful!! Unfortunately, the paint job does not compliment your hard work.
Someone is using your work to scam people
Hi, i think someone is using your video to scam people into buying these on fb.
your mushroom is covered with warts, therefore children should run away from such a mushroom as far as possible...
OMG Amazing !!! How do these hold up in rainy climates ?? I want some !!!
They hold up extremely well outdoors. Styroplast is a great foam coat for outdoor projects
