- Internationally renowned sculptor Anish Kapoor creates objects and large-scale site-specific installations that challenge perception and provoke metaphysical introspection. Employing materials such as wax, raw pigment, fiberglass, stone, mirrors, and cement, his work engages fundamental dualities of life and death, darkness and light, and presence and absence. Kapoor is the recipient of numerous honors, including the 1990 Premio Duemila, awarded to the best young artist at the Venice Biennale, and the 1991 Turner Prize. He is the most recent contemporary artist to show at the Palace of Versailles, where he is displaying works throughout the gardens. His sculpture "At the Hub of Things," 1987, lends its title to the Hirshhorn’s 40th anniversary exhibition, where it is currently on view.

Scatological Art and mindset
What incredible insight into his thinking process and materialization of his ideas. Truly one of the greats. Thanks for sharing.
BTS new music video "shadow" shows his work Svayambh
I would love to see some of the process of making these huge sculptures, the logistics of a large scale object and what happens to it after it's life is over?

Thank you very much Mr.Kapoor to explain your marvellous pieces of art. Great for the public.
Bean boy
When I first found his works, I was so surprised, but now, after all this presentation "anyway", it looks empty, when the form comes as a form and nothing else behind it... Sad
really nice lecture!
Interestingly Awesum!
This lecture really helped me to fall in love with Kapoor's adventuring!
good interview, he is innovative person
"I had a show in NY and thought-God! is this what it is" Maybe its the Brit tone- but really the poor chap- having a show in NY- he may as well just end it now.
Uhm...am I...the only one...that thinks...this is boring?
what a waste of money, effort
Anish Kapoor is a terrible human being...represents everything WRONG WITH ART...
what a waste of money and public spaces
