This week we head back to Dover to take a look at the site of St Margaret's gun battery which during WW2 was constructed high up on the cliffs over Saint Margaret's Bay..
Today the emplacements and any surface remains are long gone having been likely cleared away during post was eyesore clearance but the deep level air raid shelters used by the personal manning the battery still remains and it's this we will take you for a look inside in this video..
Hope you enjoy 😀

👏👏 Blimey that place looked well interesting, and in such good condition. Thanks for letting us view it 💪🏆👍
It's always amazes us how these places can be found scattered all over dover.. we have another one coming out in a few weeks.. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it 😊
Another fine video this day. A curious sight as always. Thank you for the time you both dedicated to the videos. Cheers Em & Stu! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
Nice to hear from you again Martin.. Thanks for watching, its always appreciated 😀
Excellent so fascinating and interesting great filming.
Thank you.. we love exploring these old shelters, Dover is incredibly lucky to have so much military history still remaining.
Thanks for watching 👍
Great video, what a amazing place and it still exists !
It's surprising how many of these were just hastily sealed up after the war and now lay scattered around the local area unknown to most people.. thanks for watching 👍😊
Just catching up on your excellent videos after watching the Mundsley Gun Battery episode.Absolutely gob smacked by this underground shelter exploration, thanks Em and Stu for getting down and dirty literally!👍
These shelters are amazing, to think of the hard graft that went into digging them all out and Dover especially has so many! Shame we don't live closer as dispite visiting 3 or 4 of them now there's still so many more that we know of to try and explore!
Wow amazing explore! Really enjoyed this one
Thank you.. really appreciate your feedback.. wasn't sure if it would be that interesting to watch as its all just similar tunnels down there.. tried to make it as entertaining as possible.. Thanks again for watching and commenting 😊👍
Great video as always.. not sure I'd fancy going down there! 😂
It's certainly not a place for the faint hearted that for sure.. I actually almost got stuck getting out! 😆
Thank you for your video you two fascinating and very interesting as ever,it’s amazing the council haven’t totally sealed those tunnels up by now..I think you’re both very brave though as it looked very creepy done there especially as the tunnels seemed to go on forever!Keep up as always your good work.
Simon👍
For some reason the council don't seem too bothered about this one as its been accessible for a good few years I believe and not too hard to get to.. other than struggling to get out as the ground was so slippery we felt ok about this one.. we also did another shelter in the area that weekend which will be uploaded in a few weeks.. now that one had an unpleasant atmosphere about it for some reason and we couldn't wait to get out.. 🤔
Thanks for watching 👍😊
Such great content, a chilled out look on the past, I chill out and watch ❤
Thanks Michael, glad you enjoyed it 👍😊
