I started taking 340 mg of magnesium glycinate about two months ago for some harmless arrhythmias.
I recently noted that my BP is now consistently 110/70. I’ve always been a 125/85 guy and took 5 mg of lisinopril for many years.
I’ve since discontinued all meds and can only assume my lower BP is due the daily magnesium dose! Amazing.

I've been battling chronic fatigue for my entire adult life (30M). I'm in ridiculous shape, I eat healthy but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I tried everything. Eventually, I decided to start taking Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate before bed. After a month of doing so, I feel well rested every single night. I am more productive at work. I am more confident, more assertive, generally in a better mood and just an overall greater pleasure to be around.
I think magnesium deficiency is what I was struggling with. I can't believe after all this time, I've finally identified the issue. Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Just started reading about the two drugs I am taking because of the site effects I have been experiencing. On lowest dose of thiazide for BP (sole condition) for two weeks with no guidance from my doctor on managing palpitations, dehydration, and diet. The complexities of magnesium, potassium, calcium and how they work together and more importantly, how deficiencies (and excesses!) in one of these minerals has consequential effects. After two days of trolling the internet to better understand the medication, the symptoms, and fit it all together, I landed upon one of your videos. More doctors should provide the basic education you provide. It's not enough to hand a patient a scrip and hope they thrive. Your community and patients have a gem in you.

Got off the metformine and switched to berberine and french lilac. Now my A1c is 6.1, down from 11.6 in six mos. BP is 100/70, all labs are good. My primary doctor almost pissed himself, said it couldn't be done. I hope to have my A1c out of the pre diabetic range and back to normal on a few mos.

As a mom living north of Detroit, I was originally interested in providing my sons with enough fiber to solve their problems with constipation. I planted Kurly Kale from seed behind my petunias in front of my house. I would pinch off the tiny flowers when they came, but was able to harvest kale 11 months of the year. They would die down in February and start up again from the roots in March. At dinner time, I would simply slip out my front door with my kitchen shears, shake the snow off the plant and cut what I wanted for our meal. I could easily "hide" torn bits of kale in any hot dish (mac & cheese, spaghetti, chili, etc.). The top leaves were always tender enough for my salads. My plants were 4 years old when I moved away from them. I never gave them a bit of care but they produced wonderfully anyway.

I've gone from months of Keto to carnivore just 5 weeks ago. Last week I started feeling my heart beating hard. I thought it was my blood pressure as I've stopped all my blood pressure meds but it was 117 / 73. It got worse over the next few days and caused me to not sleep last night. Laying down made the problem worse. This morning at 3:45am I woke and took a hot shower, in the shower I recalled seeing this video just the day before. "magnesium is critical for the heart" so on a hunch I went to the kitchen and dug out the magnesium supplement that I had purchased just a few weeks before. I wasn't taking it because the tablets were so big. I took two (the recommended daily dose) and before 5am I began to notice I was feeling better. My heart was not beating so weird and my mood became better. Now it's almost 8am and I feel great. I can't even feel my heart beating and my pressure is 110/69.. not bad for 60 and no medications what so ever.
    Magnesium.. you need it!
    Thanks doc.

Magnesium solved my back problem! omg i had back spasms for ten years. i went to drs and ofc i was given drugs, i had adjustments, i did yoga, meditated. now the last two changed my life, but i still had this pain.. nothing worked. it finally became almost constant when my daughter got me some magnesium and made me take a lot... boom back pain gone in 6 hours! it has not returned. i had other related symptoms, joint pain, foot cramps, leg pain... all clearing up since i began the doses and i changed my diet to more raw veggies, leafy mixed greens giant salads, for dressing hummus, with olive oil and vinegar which are all good for you. cashews are rich in magnesium. less carbs and i'm aiming for less sugars too. i work 10 hr shifts, i'm very very active, in a busy deli, and i run circles around people. i feel awesome now!

  • @bobkoure
    @bobkoure Před 3 lety +3

Glad I found your channel, have been working my way through your archive.
I'd been having problems with cramps in all my muscles for a number of years, when a friend gave me a spray bottle of 'magnesium oil' (not an oil but a high concentration of magnesium chloride in water (feels greasy). When I put this on the skin over the cramp, the cramp goes away. Magnesium sulfate (epsom salts) does a similar through-the-skin muscle relax, but the chloride is IMO faster.
Since then, I've been supplementing with magnesium citrate. I eat a lot of dark greens, but I always have. I've also taken to using magnesium oil as an underarm deodorant. Works great for that, and it gets more magnesium into my body. I know there are lotions for 'restless legs' that are pretty much magnesium citrate in a lotion carrier.
I still get the occasional cramp, but nowhere near as bad. I'm still not swimming across the lake (used to do 2mi/day in the water) as I'm a 'sinker' and a bad cramp without a rescue nearby could be... bad.
BTW/FWIW. it's cheaper to buy magnesium chloride flakes and mix with hot water (same way you'd make a simple syrup with sugar) than to buy the pre-made 'oil'.

I had a hair analysis test done many years ago and I highly recommend it! I was shocked to see calcium very high off the chart and magnesium extremely low! With so many products especially dairy and nut milks fortified with calcium, we are getting overloaded with too much calcium. I don't remember the company name the Chiropractic office used but am sure you'll find one on the internet. I think the company wouldn't deal directly with consumers and could only have it done thru a medical professional which is why I'd love to have it done again but can't find anyone willing.

If you feel you have a serious condition, you may expect the treatment to be just as extreme, so with magnesium, its simplicity is its downfall”.
