Kamelot's new video Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy) featuring Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) is here! From KAMELOT's new album HAVEN available now on Napalm/Universal/ADA. The video takes off where Kamelot's Insomnia video ends and takes the listener into the outside environment of this dystopian world. Where the citizen is zero and only the privileged live in a lavish lifestyle. Surveillance over society is everywhere, even a fly on the wall can be the watching eyes of the Monarchy. Only a Revolution will make a change!

Alissa's clean vocals is really what Arch Enemy needs. Considering that there music is very melodic clean vocals won't be out of place.
if MTV still played videos and actual music, this song would be a worldwide hit.
Stopping by 7 years later to say this is still one of my favorite songs. Such a great combo.
Honestly when Alissa started doing clean vocals it scared me because I thought she was just gonna do the growls and it was unexpected to me

When Alissa starts growling, I feel energy and power of music.
When she starts singing in clean voice, I feel all strength leaves me and beautiful, sweet feeling of eternity grabs me.
Not gonna lie. I'm an Alissa fan-boy. I came here for Alissa. BUT HOLY SHIT I THINK I FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE BAND THIS IS AMAZING. I FEEL SO MUCH SHAME NOT KNOWING ABOUT THESE GUYS BEFORE.
And might I add, Alissa sounds really different. Like. Really different. Those cleans are so different from The Agonist and the small slither she has so far in Arch Enemy.

Kamelot has been around for a while, this album is recent but they started in the mid to late 90s if I remember correctly, part of the big wave of Power Metal going on at that time, when the genre really solidified as something distinct from classic/traditional heavy metal and speed metal.
I think Revolution would be a great choice for the next music vid to continue the story.
Tommy Karevik is not only an exceptional vocalist with a heavenly and amazing voice. He also delivers his performance in such a theatrical way that just adds so much to the video.
One of the top singers in the metal scene. PERIOD.
That was badass. Man...Alyssa's voice could freeze molten lava, melt the north pole or make crying babies sleep peacefully. UNBELIEVABLE. Other than her, Kamelot is as good as ever...and I didn't think that I'd ever say that with Roy gone...but there it is.
When many power metal bands decay, Kamelot continues to gain popularity! Long live Kamelot!

Always loved beauty and the beast bands, but it's kinda cool to see the guy doing the clean vocals for once haha. I do think it'd be really cool to do a full Arch Enemy/Kamelot crossover type thing though.

"up to eleven" ;-)) features in every instrument, so I'd say it's more a good mix: free human expression amplified by non-obtrusive tech, leading to a powerful style. Classic music on its side is probably much more about real instruments. Anyway, we both love metal for its profound and strong human aspect.

check out her stuff with The Agonist if you havent yet. she mixes both. really hope Arch Enemy works it into their next album. She got amazing range, my newest favorite female vocalist
KadSkirata She has said in interviews that she wants to keep the Arch Enemy sound pure, which is why she doesn't use the cleans.

I've been listening to Kamelot since 2000, and I swear I have yet to hear a single song of theirs I don't like. Put that with top notch video directing and special effects, and you get masterpieces like this and Insomnia!
