Okay so: once upon a broken heart is one of my favourite books. I read it before I read caraval and I definitely think it's better if not just because Jacks is more the focus of the story. Some find Evangeline to be dumb or boring. I just think that she's all of us in a world like that. I'm soooo excited for the sequel! Also yes your edition is the UK one as is mine. (It's a lot more detailed than the US one)

I bought the beautiful BN edition during the hardback sale but wasn’t sure when I’d get to it, you guys and *EMMIE* both talked me into finally reading Frankenstein in January so I hope I can join in for some motivation to get to it! I LOVE the stage musical.

I read The Hunchback of Notre Dame a few years ago - there’s a lot of architecture/history discussion BUT I loved it the story so much!

OMG I LOVED Once Upon a Broken Heart!!! There is also a trilogy that goes before that book that can help you understand the book better but it's also amazing on its own. I am so excited to see if you like it.

Once Upon a Broken Heart is set in the same universe as Stephanie Garber’s Caraval series. Can be read alone but worth reading the series too.
