When I was living in California I was hit by a drunk driver who took off, I followed him. He eventually stopped, got out.. he was so wasted he dropped his pants and peed in the middle of the street while cars were dodging him. I was on the phone with LAPD the whole time. Dude stumbled back to his car and passed out for 3 whole hours until LAPD finally showed up after I called them back numerous times.
I never feel sorry for anyone who dies going to these stupid take overs.

we used to take over Colorado Blvd in Pasadena in the 50ties,60ties and cops left us alone as long as not too crazy--we knew streets were we could drag race,road race--never once ever had a bad encounter with the cops

I used to live next to a neighborhood in Northridge where there were fireworks for 4th of July. It was actually kind of fun. Yes we always heard it's illiegal to do it. They always did it anyways.
Until 1 day, fireworks went up into a palm tree. That caught on fire, fell on the roof of the apartment building where they threw fireworks from..and long story short, entire apt building burned to the ground.
Moral of the story - don't do fireworks. Most of those folks lived in 'low income' apts meaning it will be hard to find more low income apts in LA to begin with.
