I have a hard time feeling bad for these dealerships that are marking these cars up $20-30k or more, they are ripping us off so f*** them.
No one is marking up 30k thats stupid. Nada, Black book, Blue book etc. It would be obvious with a single google search a price was marked up by so much.
@@jamesthigpen9330you genuinely believe this is not happening???
I remember when dealerships based their prices off of the MSRP, and supply and demand didn’t play any part in it. I was just at a Dodge dealership in the summer talking to a salesman about the price of a Hellcat, and he said they keep going up because some people will pay whatever the price tag says.
Vehicles are also way overpriced here in Canada with all the extra taxes we have to pay. If a vehicle is worth more than $100,000, there’s a “luxury tax” (because the sales tax of 12% isn’t enough on $100,000). And it’s based on the fuel mileage.
Bruh… you ever heard of predatory capitalism?
I worked for a carpet company once that also sold ornamental rugs. They would lie and say they were imported from Nepal, made by monks with only the finest wool from Himalayan sheep. In reality, they were made from garbage recycled materials in Detroit by some asshole working minimum wage who hated his job. They would get them for $120-150, tag then for $3500-3800, then say they’re running a “40% OFF HOLIDAY SPECIAL!”, and then even have the slick salesmen tell individual customers “I’m not supposed to do this but I can use my own employee discount for you”.
In the end, they’d pay $120 for this piece of junk rug but con people into dropping $2300 on it. Welcome to reality man.
I'm taking market forces. If we mark up by a huge amount people could just search the nearest dealerships and see our prices are wack.

2. Way too expensive to sell anyone
3. From the customers point of view ( I decided not to buy a 2023 "Super Stock") these cars are too much stress to own now because of this very reason. I owned back in 2009 a 09 Challenger R/T Hemi 6-Man. Never worried about someone stealing it. But now. No longer a daily driver. Can't leave it out of your site for a second. Unless you own a garage at home. Even then. You have to be aware of being followed home. These "Roaches" will even break into your home at night or while you're at work and steal your H-Cat.
