So, in this week's Aesthetics Mastery Show Dr Tim dives into the 4 factors that affect how you make your decision about needle depth; how to tell when you are at the right depth; and the pros, cons and risks of injecting in each layer.

    I want to do a little tip defining, but I'm worry beacuse normally always I have very tiny blood vessels, and my tip.of my nose is always called which maybe indicates no good supply, so is in my case this will put me at greater risk of necrosis.
    Thanks,
    Hana

    The diagram seems to show that the skin is so thick but in actual fact it is just thin. Makes me wonder how injectors know where exactly, I mean which layer, they are actually injecting.

    How can one tell the depth? The skin is so thin

    • @DrTimPearce
      @DrTimPearce  Před rokem +1

      It comes easier with experience . But looking for the shape of the needle when you lift the needle under the skin. Being too superficial you can see the grey colour of the needle when it’s lifted. But descriptions in the earlier days can be likened to a broom under a sheet. A broom under the blanket and one under a duvet. Superficial, medium and deep. It comes with practice though.
      Kind regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim

    So basically hairdressers , physios and nurses pretty much shouldn’t be doing this as they have less or no medical competence to handle the complications. Necrosis , infections , abscesses … can even a good nurse handle an anaphylactic episode? Only a select few ….

    • @yolandacleare6709
      @yolandacleare6709 Před 2 lety +12

      It seems like you have something personal against nurses. Let me inform you the botox companies have nurse practioners that train mds to inject botox. Botox is not taught in medical school the nurses and md's are in the same training so get over it.

      Hi Lisa. Thanks for the feedback. If you follow Tim on Instagram we upload short snippets of the main items discussed. Another option is to watch it at double speed which you can do by clicking on the 3 dots. Interestingly we have had people comment that the videos are too short, so I guess it's subjective. Thanks for commenting, Miranda

      there are always 2 groups in an class, those who already know all this and the topic is to long and people like me, this is new to me, and i watch the video in one sitting several time, so i would not miss anything. And yes maybe next time just fast forward to what interest you. I would hate for Tim to shorten it and leave something important out that would be benificial to me.
