Route is 10,70 km long and serves 19 stops.
Operational everyday by CAF Urbos AXL and Tatra KT4TMR trams.
Intervals on weekdays are mostly around 8 - 14 minutes, on weekends 9 - 20 minutes.
On January 1954 the route was opened on Kadriorg - Tõnismägi (near Kosmos stop) stretch.
Since January 1957 on current route Tondi - Kadriorg.
In real speed it takes about 45 minutes to complete the trip.
The tram is named after first President of Republic of Estonia - Konstantin Päts.
Tram is originally built in 1990 as a Tatra KT4D.
In 2017 the tram had a major renovation, and received new model number Tatra KT4TMR, also know as Retro tram.

This tram looks a bit like an oddball, but I like it! Half modern, half vintage in apperance. For sure it makes the tram network in Tallinn more interesting! :) Your film has cool footage and gives a good feeling for this vehicle in all details.
And to think it was converted from an old Communist 1970's design is just... wow. I don't think a Tatra tram has ever looked better than that.
@@drdewott9154 Saying it's communist is correct in a way but a bit misleading (makes it sound like something low quality), Tatra has made good trams, especially the T3 in Prague.

A kind of useless tramline tbh. If it were removed and other lines (4 and 1) got extra trams - I think change would be net positive.
