Finally into 2023 we have a new 8BitStereo Revamp upload, and let's start the year off with one of the most classic OST's of all, Super Mario Bros! I mean, what else can be said about this game and soundtrack, it has been dissected and discussed over the moon and back, for being the NES console's most popular and best selling game, it's clear to see why. But now the wonderful compositions of Koji Kondo come at you in an even better clarity! With extra information on that the Sound Driver used was of course made by Koji Kondo himself, as in the beginning there was only one main Sound Driver that was made by the creator of the NES/Famicom's RP2A03 soundchip, Yukio Kaneoka, but like the other great composers at that time in the company, Hirokazu Tanaka, Akito Nakatsuka, and of course, Koji Kondo eventually designed there own Sound Drivers to use on the games they worked on!
And of course, used many sources (like VGMdb) to get the most accurate Tracklist as possible for the name of songs, as even multiple official OST releases by Nintendo themselves have slightly different titling, so I went with the most concise and accurate as possible! Thank you all for sticking with me even as uploads slowly trickle back, and this is the first upload to officially have Patreon thanks at the end! Lol thats a good one, obscure, but it's a good thing given super mario bros 3 expanded so much before it went into 3d with 64. 2d all stars is the best lol no delisting nor censorship from 3d all stars, and bundled with the system unlike stupid holiday mario kart 8 every year, and not even adding the dlc. But nintendo rips off with overpriced vouchers so it's their MO.

The ground theme. All you have to do is play it for 2 seconds and just about nearly anyone will know where it's from. Whether they are a gamer or not. For the very few that don't, it will likely stick in your mind once you hear it.

Given the speed of the timer, there is no way Above Ground BGM (Hurry Up!) lasts long enough for a full loop. Also, Pipe Entrance (Hurry Up!) is impossible.

When would you actually get the "Hurry up!" music in-game? I've never seen that effect in action. The closest I've seen is the Starman and that has its own music.

Excluding newborn babies/toddlers/deaf people obviously/etc. (let’s just say anyone currently age 6 or older who has no outstanding conditions that would prohibit them from even having a possible chance of ever being able to play or at some point in their lives to have previously either played the game themselves, watched others play, or just heard the music itself, through other forms of media or at least even witnessed a live cover of it (whether in person somehow or by some alternate form, such as online or whatever the case may have been…) so with all that in mind, just going by the people who are qualified across the entire world, what percentage of the Earth’s population do you guys think would recognize any part of this all-time legendarily classic soundtrack if you played the whole thing for them?
P.S. I mean just for this one single game, not all Mario games/media overall…though if you’d like to put in a second answer as to that specific percentage for MARIO in general as well, please do so. I’m curious what everyone thinks about this! 😁✌🏼
