Yeah man. It’s truly sad what happened. Especially when you look back at it and many people were debating whether Leiter or Rocker would go higher in the 1st round of the 2021 draft.
I pitched a no hitter in highschool my junior year and after that my arm was done being able to move the ball hit ur spots and change speeds is much more important than velocity for this reason no one can throw 95 without arm trouble except for roger clemons
He's in a perfect position because he has plenty of time to recover and develop because the rangers arent going to be patient with him because they have so much talent.
I remember watching him and Jake Leiter back at Vanderbilt absolutely embarrass batters this duo was absolutely nasty I was glad when they both found their way to the rangers maybe they can replicate what they did back in college. They reminded me of Garret Cole and Trevor Bauer when they both played for UCLA
"Jake" just got called up by the Rangers. In his first professional start he gave up 7 runs and roughed up but miraculously the Rangers still rallied to win the game. He's certainly on a team that can score runs which makes life in the Bigs better as a young pitcher. Not sure Rocker will ever be effective again.
I think that could happen later on if he continues to struggle. But right now due to the amount invested, I’m sure they are still hoping to develop him as a mid rotation starter.
That no-hitter he threw against Duke was one of the most impressive college pitching performances I’ve ever seen. Truly a magical moment!
Totally agree!
Yep
Poor kid has been thru it. I feel for him and hope his recover is clean and he gets some healthy innings soon.
Totally agree. Really wishing he gets his shot to prove himself!
It’s sad he’s had back to back injuries delaying him. Hopefully he will get to play a full season in 2025 and show off his stuff!

Jose Soriana eventually came up after several TJ's and reinvented himself into a heavy GB pitcher with gas.
Still has a chance to make the bigs!
Still has a shot at the bigs. Will have a new stronger ucl, and with hard work we could see him from 25 to his 30's possibly if all goes well.
Completely agree. I'd love to see him perform well and show us his stuff!

That’d be really cool if they were able to become the 1 and 2 in their rotation!

He fleeced the rangers
Can’t fully disagree😂
I think he will be solid by next year
He still has a chance, he’s only 24. He has top level stuff
Go rangers
i go to the same high school he did
Should just make him a reliver
