@@idek256 hot is relative, getting hits vs guys who will be studying for their freshman year finals in a year. He total changed his stance hurting his power vs good pitching. He is longer a top 10ish prospect.

"Jake" just got called up by the Rangers. In his first professional start he gave up 7 runs and roughed up but miraculously the Rangers still rallied to win the game. He's certainly on a team that can score runs which makes life in the Bigs better as a young pitcher. Not sure Rocker will ever be effective again.

Thank you! I’ve got a good amount to say for each guy but I’ll keep it somewhat short and sweet. Rainer: Personally I love him as a future starter. Low effort, clean arm action, low to mid 90s with run. I’ve seen people are fond of his curveball, but I actually like his slider just as much from the short sample of video I have seen. He just clearly hasn’t developed it enough to be as confident with it. My hope is that he shows well this spring on the bump and gets graded higher as a pitcher for the draft. But I have a feeling they may keep him as an IF and move him to 3rd. Doughty: Kind of stuck on this one. I used to be a higher energy guy on the mound with a similar arsenal (at least in college). So it’s fun to watch. But I think teams might lower him on their priority list. His fastball/high spin rate power CB combo is dynamic. Arm motion looks fairly healthy. At times I’ve seen him get a bit of arm drag, but that’s mostly with the CB. I haven’t seen it happen with the fastball yet. I think he could be a late second round guy, mostly due to his size and the stigma that still exists on RHP with more of a power repertoire. OSU might be the better option if he doesn’t get the signing bonus he wants. Marsten: Projectable build. Fastball movement is a bit inconsistent. Haven’t seen as much video as other prospects I must admit. FB is clearly premium though, I’ve seen him up to 99. He does have some late arm drag though, which is a bit scary in terms of UCL health long term. Slider looks to have more of a frisbee movement. Especially with his tendency throw it for pure strikes, starting it at the hitters front hip breaking it to the middle or outer half of the zone. Change up is definitely a “show me” pitch. He struggles to maintain arm speed and not tip it the very few times it’s thrown. He does have a chance to sky rocket on draft boards this spring if he can show a upper 90s fb with consistent movement and show his slider to have out pitch capability instead of just landing it for strikes. Last clip I’ve seen of him was from this march where he was 90-95. At this point he could be drafted anywhere. It’s all gunna come down to what scouts think of him this spring.

I think that could happen later on if he continues to struggle. But right now due to the amount invested, I’m sure they are still hoping to develop him as a mid rotation starter.
