Lovely model. Love the Tom Baker Doctor Who's.. Why K9 was actually dumped was down to him literally stealing the show. Something would threaten the Doctor & Sarah, K9 would nearly always come to the rescue and save the day. They decided to restore Tom Baker's thunder by grounding him😉. He did get a limited series of his own, and there was quite a few "K9" children's story books too. The Fans and the kid's loved him. There's a radio controlled model nearly 3 times the size of this big Eaglemoss one. But they're quite hard to find now. Everything works on it. Look around, it's worth buying. Good unboxing, good video.
Yes, I have that remote controlled K-9. I did a video review of it not too long ago. Check it out if you'd like. It's probably the best K-9 that was ever made. I saw an interview with the producer of Doctor Who during the Tom Baker years and he said he didn't like K-9 because it became very difficult for the writers to make stories since K-9 could get the Doctor out of trouble so easily. I loved him and really enjoyed the episodes he was on.

You being a Doctor Who fan, I should have guessed you would already own the rc "K9". I bought mine back when it was available from "Argos" in the UK. I'd never part with it. I couldn't stop buying the Toys and merchandise from the Christopher Eccleston period, right before Jodie Whittaker, then I stopped. I just couldn't take to the 13th Doctor, I'm sorry. My prized RC Dalek is the oversized Gold one that you interact with. Never thought that they'd become worth anything back then..Talking about Tom Baker..When Jon Pertwee regenerated into Tom, I never thought that I'd ever like him. Who would have believed that he'd become my number one Timelord. He's just an amazing Doctor.👍
@@vortexspinner4470 Haha! I was introduced to Doctor Who when Tom Baker was on. When they changed, I didn't watch after that because I really liked Tom so much. Now they need to get cracking and get all the Tom Baker episodes out on bluray.
@@outsider238 I'm not alone then.😉👍 Tom became my number one "Doctor" as well. I never really bothered much with the rest of em after him. Tom Baker was sorely missed. Peter Davidson was OK and Colin Baker was so,so. Colin is a good actor (Baban the Butcherer in Blakes-7) but he was never allowed to just be himself playing the Doctor. ( After he was sacked. He did star in a spin-off series that was quite a darker version of the Doctor complete with his final companion with him. It was very good. He was just known as "The Stranger" if memory serves.) Sylvester McCoy (think i spelled his name right) was not my favourite as I remember him from children's programs like "Tiswas" But "Day of the Daleks" was an excellent story. But apart from the odd episodes, I never watched any of them after Tom Baker. It was only when Russell T. Davies regenerated the series properly I watched it again. The episode "Dalek" was amazing. But none of them were as good as the Tom Baker era. I'm with you, Tom rock's. "Genesis of the Daleks" and "The Ark in Space" are my all time favourite episodes. Just ordered the "K9" based on your review. Can't wait to arrive, and display him.👍 Sorry about the wall of text. When I talk, I can't seem to stop. Lol!

I never got a chance to see all the Tom Baker episodes so that's why I'm looking forward to all the seasons he was in coming out on bluray. I'm glad you were able to order K-9 before they're all gone. I think it's a great figure especially since he's so much larger than what Eaglemoss normally makes.
