Hey Frenzy -- I really appreciate that. I totally get needing a bit to get hooked into it. Fantasy Flight Game and their 40k games are what sold me on the setting. All the lore and details are just so much fun!

It would be nice to see a rebellion that didn’t slink into chaos worship. Just some people, defectors or secessionists that want to reform the imperium from the inside and will inspire uprisings on unequally governed hive cities. In fact I made a homebrew faction called the Ironblooded that does that. Keeping in with 40k grimdarkness, their methods can be dark at times like torturing prisoners, indiscriminate bombings, assassinations etc.
I agree. All rebelions ending up as a heretic madness is a bit boring but not that surprising. Chaos gods are pretty active so to have a rebellion that will not end up like that should be pretty rare.
The Severan Dominate is the biggest and only example of of a non-chaos affiliated secessionist revolt that comes to mind. They only have dalliances with the Dark Eldar. Would love to see more on this bit of 40K lore represented

Really cool playthrough. Rogue Trader turned out more fun than I originally thought! Its refreshing to see other parts of 40k get some love. I definitely want to see the other pen and paper rpgs made into games now, haha. Went through so many character sheets in Only War. Good times

A navigator opening the third eye is way more frightening than the game lets you believe. Therefore I hope you can give Cassia a weapon, it would be more fitting canonically. Otherwise love it! Keep up the great work. It is always a treat to see a new episode from you.

A quick Tip for you: When picking up the "trash" items after a battle you can move them over to the "To Cargo" area to immediately convert them to Cargo. From then on when you encounter these same pickups they will already be in the "To Cargo" area saving you a ton of clean up later.

I love how gideon is morally grey and a hypocrite. Pompous (does not like lengthy long intros but always asks Abelard to intro him) Tries not to be a classist (when cassia called someone a peasant and the insurrection incident a couple of episodes before) but a jerk to idira. Love it!
33:35 This connection makes me wonder if the Inquisition had Theodora assassinated, I'm not super knowledgeable with 40k but it doesn't seem like their mo to do it during the circumstances that happened during the prologue so for now it just adds to the mystery. This particular level also drives home how brutal it is here. You could find writings by an inmate talking about how insane the Warden was for institututing reforms that improved their lives, three meals a day, rewarding good behavior etc.

I watched your first episode of Rouge Traders. I like your presentation style and thought process. I enjoy being told what you are doing and why you are doing it. Tactics being explained and though process is quite unique for me at least. I don't have to agree with you're choices, I might want you to do something different however, as you do clearly state your reasons its more fun. What I mean is when it goes right is really does and when it goes bad it goes really bad I trust you show your faiIed fights? It means so much more for the story when there are lessons to learn. Ways to play the game next time. This game reminds me of the freedom of “The Old Repulic”. I am going to watch all your episodes and once thisbine is done I wonder if it's good enough (the game I mean) to play through as a different class l, be evil etc. Your voice is very clear and I really appreciate you taking the lore seriously. In fact, I'd say that this game makes failure more fun than Baldur's Gate, where it feels especially punitive.
