He was trying to get it on the country charts and the white folks in charge of country music wasn't having it and no other country singers were standing up for him so Billy did and it got other country white folks to listen to it. Billy stood next to him, he stood with him, and that's what we need. We need unity, black, white, brown, yellow, and red need to stand together. To much hate in the USA and these 2 entertainers from different backgrounds standing together is a Beautiful thing.
