I think this song is about dreaming when you are sleeping. He dreams about fireflies lighting the world, like disco balls as he sleeps, and he dreams of the earth turning and he is dancing like the fireflies in his sleep.
I know this is like 3 years late, but the song is actually about his insomnia, he only wrote it because he couldn't sleep, he tried to understand his condition
Actually, I mean, think whatever you want, but in an interview he said it literally has *no* meaning. He just couldn't sleep and put notes/lyrics together
I think it’s a very deep song with multiple meanings. The most obvious is his insomnia-people with insomnia are often sleepy during the day and in a dreamlike state. Plus, some of us have really realistic and vibrant dreams. Lots of people with insomnia are also super creative and are our most creative during the late night. On another level, it’s the late-night musings of an insomniac on the fact that Life’s going fast and he’s losing time. I think it’s interesting how he seems to comment not just on insomnia or dreams but also life and the fleeting moments as well
@@gooberthoreau While he's using auto tune it's a much lighter version called pitch correcter and honestly it's not such a bad thing Alot of artist have talent for writing songs and I think that auto tune while being artificial is a nice way to display your song writing abilities while not making it unbearable to hear. PS even though Adam used pitch correction here I still think he's improved after the last year live! Go check out his cinematic tour he did a great job

He sounds nothing like studio when he sings live in a good way because he uses auto tune for his older songs but in an appropriate way not to make him sound better but to fit the song better but he still sounds good live

Ive seen concerts that are more quieter than this and the reason for that is because they are listening and feeling the song, so yeah a concert doesn't always have to be shouting and screaming and huge fans fainting. As long as they admire and feel the song that is already a lot of respect.

Oh there's definitely auto-tune, but Adam uses it tastefully in this performance and you can tell he is very capable of hitting those notes without it. The guitar riffs and the live drums make this a rocking performance. I'm starting to like this a lot more than the recorded version.

Adam uses a vocal tuning program called melodyne. It's not autotune, it doesn't tune your vocals it just corrects errors.
