      Weed. Undermentioned by most Y'tubers Mine is "Doctor Recommended" 😃
      I'd like to believe most would just cancel the trip as soon as leave without it and it is UL!

    science guy here. The best fuel to boil ratio depends on the pot your flame should wreath the bottom of the pot in flame but not wrap up around the sides.

    • @DollyTheLlama
      @DollyTheLlama Před 7 měsíci +2

      I remember another channel, Gear Skeptic, did some tests on flame height. Very interesting results, and you're correct. I think a little above medium (on the pot and stove he was using) was actually the sweet spot before it didn't make any difference and he was basically wasting fuel. He had some good close-ups showing how the extra flame is just whipping around in the air, millimeters away from the sides of the pot, not doing any good.

    I was curious as well so I googled it. Low flame is the winner. 6 -10% less fuel.

    I would LOVE it if you could provide some sort of try before you buy option for some pricier items. I’ve heard great things about your packs, but I’m old (60) and need to be picky and definitely need to try it. Our local gear shop offers this with gear like snowshoes- you rent, the also put down a deposit equal to retail cost, try, and then either return and get deposit back or get rental fee credit back on your purchase.

    I recently got a stormloft 30 under, altitude sun hoodie, and membership when making the switch from ground to hammock, and I love the hoodie so much. Thanks for the free spoon.
    I couldn't get comfortable on the ground, but I'm hoping the hammock helps.
    Are there any different recommendations you might have for a hammock setup?
    I really need to find the best toggles to support my weight.

    I am flabbergasted by the notion that people don't know about Splassh Flash lights. I've been in many situations where mine is the only source of light in the camp. They're cheap, waterproof and indestructible.

    Im a ultralight member and I'll tell what its a great thing. I love it as its a "savings" account for me. Each month it auto deducts and goes into my account and then when I need or want more gear I have the funds for it. And the outdoor vitals gear is pretty great gear

    What mapping apps work with the Choros watch?

    • @TaysonWhittaker
      @TaysonWhittaker  Před 7 měsíci +3

      Coros has its own mapping capabilities. To follow a route on your Coros watch, you can just download a gpx file from whatever mapping app you use (onX, etc.) and upload the gpx file to your Coros device.

      If you're looking for navigation on your watch, I'd probably skip Coros.
      I had the Vertix 2, but the navigation was so bad I returned it and spent the extra for a Fenix 7X. Super happy with that decision.

    Is it not weird how as fast as someone moves outside, they need "special" outside food in "special" plastic containers that they buy for roughly 450% the price of what "regular" food is brought. Or is it just me? Severel outdoors youtubers bring "regular" food with "regular" cookware and do just fine. I'd love a video comparing the too. Price, comfort, availability, and impact. Thanks, love the videos. Just thought id share a thought.

      But thats where you're wrong? Just as out consumerism contiunes we must be aware of everything we consume and how it imptacts the planet? (Excuse me for my english, i am not a native speaker). No mattern the cause or purpose. In no way, do we give someone sleeping outside for a night or two passage to more consuming because the video-vlog it on CZcams. No hate. I just find it very very interesting what people seam to lay their energy on. (I'm laying my energy on this internet conversation because i hope it opens new conversations and ideas). . .
