A shameful episode from many years ago. At the time there wasn’t all the information from internet so I heard the news from a music magazine and I was really slapped. I don't think it ever happened in any kind of awards (sports, film, artistic event ..) that the award winner mocked and made fun of who were awarding him. Reviewing the images, I could see how cowardly the deed was, made a few moments before leaving the stage (without the possibility of reply) and backed by the members of his band. A gesture that only a small person moved by envy and sense of inferiority could have accomplished. The same person who compared to other singers of the previous generation (Bono, Mick Jagger ...) had not missed an opportunity to prostrate himself.
What about... a striking example of gratuitous nastiness of which unfortunately the world is full. Now that he has become an "has been" he will surely find (or maybe already found) some young musicians who will mock him by taking his molasses music by the ass.
