It is great to see you use Hydra and give your feedback. I think it is a great time for detailing with all of the rinseless washes on the market and we really are able to split hairs and find our favorites. I need to try this one still but overall everything I have used from Phoenix has been good. Thanks Mike!
Great video Mike. I used it for the first time last week and also enjoyed it. I agree that it does its job but could really stand out from the pack with a few tweaks. Even so, I would still recommend it.
awesome as always, i’ve still yet to to use a P.eod product but i’d like to try that rinseless fo sho. oh and i’m getting my gopro hero 12 figured out, shot a vid and posted it last night 🐿️💨
@@FrankoDetails thanks. Once you figure out the settings it’s straightforward to use. I would recommend to buy some extra batteries to have on hand. Also convert it to mp4 while you edit if you shoot longer videos.
@@MikeGDetailing oh yeah i definitely got that extra 2 pack batteries. and i figured out i had too many features turned on, needing all that extra processing power was making it overheat. as for editing i’m just using the imovie app for now on my ipad.
Nice video and review Mike , I’ve used about half a gallon of Hydra with no complaints. It does a good job overall of being a good rinseless . Always appreciate the honest reviews and content.
Hi Mike. Top notch as always. There seems to be some confusion regarding Hydra. Jaime The Cleaner & Brian from Apex, mention Hydra is surfactant based. You, Eddie, etc...have said it's polymer based. I had heard surfactant based with an ingredient to reduce foaming. AJ Bentley did a video showing Hydra pulling more dirt than DIY with a sponge, and that's been my experience as well. Though it does not clean microfiber media like DIY. But for me, when using towels, I use multiple.
Mike, I LOVE this video. I appreciate the "deep dive" into what you like and don't like about Hydra and it's because of you and guys like you that we constantly strive to E.O.D.!!! Check this out... this video came out three weeks ago and we went straight to work on making it better! AND WE DID IT! New and Improved Hydra is here and immediately ready for purchase. Cleans even better and is crazy slicker!!! Grabs that dirt off the sponge and drags it to the bottom of the bucket. We tried to embrace every one of your critiques! Super appreciate you, Mike! (Sorry about the label, definitely a misprint). 1 ounce of Hydra to 3 Gallons of Water.
@Phoneixeod thank you for watching and clearing up the directions. The dilution of 1 ounce to 3 gallons makes it even more affordable which is always a good thing. I look forward to testing out the new version.
If you use it with the Labo 2ph with Preludio. And what do mean by better it cleans just as good as anything out, in a rimseless it’s just not as slick as others from my experience but as cleaning goes it’s just as good as anything I’ve used, great on glass as well,
I have this. Bought it on sale on Black Friday. Have used about a third of a 16oz bottle. It's OK. Not great, not awful. Nothing stands out. IMO, there are significantly better rinseless concentrates. Apparently, they have a new version. As I'm happy with the products I use, going to skip it. Tried Titan, as well. Same opinion. It's decent, sure, but the bar is set a bit higher. FWIW, heard good things about their abrasives.
Mike, thanks for the review. I just applied their ceramic coating (Kronos) to my daughter's car. I was thinking about purchasing their rinseless wash? Would you? or what would you purchase?
@@barrybij8079 no it does not. It has no protection built into it like Idrosave. It’s the silica and how it interacts with oily grime in that causes this with Idrosave.
Mike I bought gallon of adam’s soap and a gallon of chemical guys pink soap for foam canon Can I use those for rinseless wash? What would be the ratio with water?
@@MikeGDetailing ok I’ll order the one you featured in your video. One more question. Benefit of using distilled water vs regular water for dilution? Thanks bud. Liked.
I will have to add this to my list of products. Thanks for the review.
