The way Andrei described the song in the beginning fits Fleetwood Mac as a whole :) In my opinion Lindsey Buckingham is up with the best, Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour.
Lindsey buckingham seemingly goes into a trance when he plays this song.
Yes this the one performance where you are presented with all Lindsay's pain, joy, anger and fear. And together with the drums and bass his guitar speaks loud and clear.
Every song from this particular concert , a reunion of sorts , captures the full power , of The Mac!
Oh yes, this is probably the very best version too. They are all good but different!
The awesome Mr Buckingham . The genius behind the modern era FM
Lindsay Buckingham is a fingerstyle guitarist, like Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck (Jeff switched early in his career). I find a certain organic quality to these kind of musicians. I am not discounted the many great guitarists that use picks, just love the sound especially in quieter parts. I have wondered if they were influenced by the jazz great Grant Green to play with their fingers or was it Folk & Bluegrass influences.
Lindsey said his influences and style are a mix of early rock, folk, bluegrass, classical. He started playing at age 6 listening to Elvis records with Scotty Moore then later folk with the Kingston Trio while learning Travis picking from Chet Atkins. Beck says he also learned from Chet Atkins. Knopfler has said acoustic blues of Lead Belly & the finger picking technique of (again) Chet Atkins
As soon as I saw this one in my feed, I knew I had to watch it. Thanks David, for the recommendation. Lindsey Buckingham has a very unique tone and style. I hope you guys react to more Fleetwood Mac. They were such a tight band. Thanks for another great reaction guys.
Fleet Wood Mac is one of the good bands .
They have lot of beautiful songs like
Little Lies , Brown Eyes, and Sara.
Don’t forget Seven Wonders and, of course, DREAMS 💜
This is a special band from my childhood. I've seen them over 20 times (together and solo). Concert tickets were always affordable back in the day, we found a way to go. Often. I was 10 years old when Rumours came out and I've been hooked ever since. This is good but not his best. Im lucky to have been front row centre 3 times for the Mac. Fabulous! (Domenica, i got to feel up Lindsey's leg during Go Your Own Way!!! 😊) ❤❤
Must react to Silver Springs and Bleed to Love her , from this performance!
Fleetwood Mac is always wonderful and Lindsey is an incredible guitarist, a master. Self taught, he plays with no pick and can make a single guitar sound like 3 or 4. He has many single albums as well, as does Stevie Nick, the blonde vocalist, She and Lindsey were a couple for many years. That is a big part of their music, the electricity and the magic that happens when they are on stage together. You must hear Big Love, and Silver Springs from this same concert.
Mick Fleetwood would be one of the best drummers on the planet
These classic songs would come later in their careers,, but would show that they're still just as talented as ever,, Fleetwood Mac "Peacekeeper" & "Thrown Down"
Yes! “Thrown Down” and “Destiny Rules” from the ‘Say you will’ album are ❤️🔥
@@MissReeves Agreed.
MUST HEAR early classics by them,, Fleetwood Mac "Dragonfly" & "Hypnotized"..Beautiful.
Lindsay as the same Mark play guitar with no pick...! But first was JEFF BECK ❤
This is the first time I watch you guys & reason being... You're watching my favourite live performance Ever+ my favourite Solo EVER so this is why I'm here.
Cannot thank you enough for your genuine reaction at the end it was fun watching you guys in Awww
However.. the lady captured my feelings for years as I realised I'm also jealous of that blond girl in the audience. 😂😂😂
Lindsay Buckingham is a true legend.
Lyndsey is a very underrated player in one of the greatest rock bands of all time
Always been up there with Comfortably Numb in my all time fav solos.
Great reaction like always! The blond lady is Stevie Nicks she is basically the lead singer of the group and she is also a force of nature when she performs, you should start out listening to her with her live performance of her song Rhiannon live on the midnight special it will blow you away.
Your version is very extreme (when? where? surely from the 2000s?); I know 3 from the previous 3 decades,
which are more musically nuanced. But I'm glad I heard it once. There is another such “therapy journey song” by Lindsey Buckingham: Not That Funny. At live concerts, FM brought the audience back with short, catchy pop songs.
Playing tips with 3 lead vocals and, if possible, live:
Lindsey: see above; the great hit Go Your Own Way; Never Going Back Again;
Stevie Nicks: Rhiannon; Landslide; Silver Springs;
Christine McVie/RIP: You Make Loving Fun; Don't Stop; Songbird.
Boston 2003.
The live performance from The Dance concert is better than this version, every note is perfect.
Fantastique morceau
This song is such a huge part of my childhood.
lindsey buckingham is a guitar god.
Unglaublich 👍👍😯😯
Thanks for doing this version - best one in my opinion. Also check out the song 'Come' - Live in Boston. Makes this look tame 😀
Nice reaction ... glad you enjoyed this, but you really should hear the original studio version. In my opinion, it's leaps and bounds better. Even though it's nice seeing them live, the studio is perfection ... again, my opinion, but you really should hear both and make up your own mind. There are much earlier, live versions from around the time they put this song out that were much better. Here's a link to a 70's version (czcams.com/video/2vrNtkC6rU0/video.html ) & one from 1997's, The Dance (czcams.com/video/6OrtLxsqSic/video.html ).
As amazing as Lindsey is, we are reminded why Peter Green named the band after the rhythm section.
Go insane was even better!
Cold shower are you for real do you even know music? This man plays the axe like no other.
Live in 1977
I know all the version 1977+1980+1982, but this grey-haired-Lindsey; it must be one of the 2000's, on a little ego trip;
the earlier ones were more musically nuanced; an increase would be:Not That Funny. Have fun with good music!!!
the info block says in boston in 2004. @@ursgeiser6570
let everyone know what time Andrei get out of bed. . . .
Well...if it wasn't for me nagging him, it would be around noon 😉
@@MerchantOfAlba 😅😅if he doesn't need to be anywhere then that's okay...he's a man 😅is a very taxing job this reacting....
Till Lindemann Zunge
So…Did it wake him?
Hahaha...nope 🤣
that guitar got too hot
