Hi, Afzal, thank you so much for the useful content you make! I have been carefully watching your videos for almost a year now and made sure I implement as much of your advice as possible. I’m going into my final year undergrad in September, however unfortunately I could not secure a summer internship in IB, Consulting and even back-office roles this summer. My CV is full of extracurricular stuff such as society leadership positions and certificates, however the missing element is the real life work experience. I would be thankful if you can share some advice on how to best spent the remaining time, before the majority of applications open, so I can make sure I do everything that I can to secure the graduate role (not planning on doing masters). Really appreciate your help and wish you all the best with your channel!

Great video and many thanks for the tips. Would you happen to know if experience or qualifications is more important for the back/middle office roles such as Operations and Risk Management, and would these type of roles be better suited to those who are less academically gifted?

I am currently 1 month into my sandwich year (48 week placement) in a back office role at a corporate bank. Considering I'm still considered a "penultimate" year student, would it be a good idea to apply for mid/front office 2022 summer internships?

Is this a timeline for UK students? For second yr students in the US, I thought that finance recruiting usually happens in the winter (i.e. towards the beginning of 2022 for incoming second yrs)
