    The clear explanations and analogies by David, Dr. Fred Travis and Dr. John Hagelin about TM, the creativity in filming process, the impact on brain coherence and the physics of the benefits of TM are easily grasped by any person.
    I learned TM when I was a young student and it was an investment. I have benefitted over and over again in healing and consciousness and other arenas, and I have not regretted the investment.
    The honest and genuine questions by the audience and replies with explanations by David is very insightful.
    The three experts in creativity, physics and brain functioning who give humorous analogies, visual demonstrations and personal experience is heartfelt. The TM leadership is solid, and highly educated. Thank you for making this video available to the public. And understanding, from different angles, and working together to communicate to a variety of people about the benefits of TM and especially the benefits of TM group practice.

    About meditation is you don't have to believe. Doing it is experiencing it and experiencing it is the point. The success and benefits are apparent and evolve
    quickly.
    All you can do is meditate twice a day for at least a week or more,
    for 10-15 minutes and find out for yourself!

    TM is based on Tibetan Buddhist & Hindu meditation techniques, stripped of any "religious" aspects.
    Chanting, visualization, breath focus.
    It's excellent and successful whichever approach you take. In fact, ten minutes of meditation can change your moment, mood and entire day.

    I like that 'diving within' -
    without manipulation, create and discover...
    Everyone can do this - from ancient times it has been called 'prayer', and it links mind with infinite creativity.
    This is positive, well known and tried.
    Consciousness is everywhere.

    The course fees are quite reasonable in my experience. The benefits are great -- and they grow with time. The course fees for students now are less and also one can arrange to pay over time. The David Lynch Foundation has done remarkable things to remove stress and problems of at-risk kids, women in Africa, vets with PTSD, the homeless, etc. Take a look at his website--I found it extremely reassuring that so many people are donating, and so many people are benefiting.

But if you search for so ham and click on the video "so ham mantra" with the blue eye. That one really kicked it off for me. I reached that ocean of pure consciousness. It was truly a beautiful experience it brought me to tears, I felt so happy. Breathing and good posture are essential. Hope this helps

      The investment in the TM practice is like investing in any market product, only better. There is absolutely no guarantee with most investments of results. Even when you purchase a house, a vehicle, clothes, etc, the product wears out and you have to purchase again, or repair. Not so with TM. You have all you need and it doesn't wear down or need replacement! It heals you, your mind, your body and you are uplifted. You can still after decades, obtain a practice checking at no charge! There are very few organizations which offer any revisit service at no charge. Teachers need to be paid. They are paid once, and have no trails (residual income) when they lecture or conduct a practice checking.
      As an example, most never revisit your medical provider, attorney or investment advisor with no charge... let alone mechanic, etc. But TM teachers are available.
      It's always good to have dialog regarding questions and objections. I am telling you as someone who invested, the rest dividends if you will, don't stop! They accumulate! I hope in some way I have given some insight, and you have made the investment in a mantra.

      @@larryprimeau7738 As I said, alternatives like Vipassana deliver quality results and don't cost anything. They're based on fully voluntary donations by people who tried the technique and are so satisfied with the results, that they're happy to offer the same chance to other people. Not jaded at all; it's just how things are.

    As for the cost, when you pay for something, you value it and keep at it, to get your money's worth. If something is free, you tend to quit easily. Well, that has been my life experience

    check out 45:23, interesting camera shake occurrence "happens" as David Lynch discusses (sound) VIBRATION (shake = vibration) as it relates to a mantra. Is this, in his words, a "happy accident" (synchronicity), a technical glitch in camera operation, just a random occurrence or intentional action by the camera operator?

    • @AnnebelBuntOnline
      @AnnebelBuntOnline Před 6 lety

      Most of the times, when filming such events.The camera is placed on quite a steady tripod (like this one is most likely). The camera does not need an operator yet there is often one person responsible for the camera and he or she will have to stay with it at all times. Maybe this person, or someone else accidentally pushed the camera or pulled a wire, anything could have happened..

    You don't need to pay to do transcending meditation:Sit down comfortably anywhere, close your eyes and wait about half a minute, then repeat a word that has no meaning inside your head without rhythm, if you start having thoughts then slowly come back to the meaningless word again. The idea is to have your mind clear of thoughts. Don't move your lips and don't concentrate too hard on the word, don't hold your breath or anything like that. It's supposed to be relaxing. Then when you're finished, stop repeating the word inside your head and wait two minutes, open your eyes and you're done.It's supposed to be done twice a day for twenty minutes each.

    • @jonsmith4669
      @jonsmith4669 Před 10 lety +2

      Wrong ,you do not repeat the mantra willy nilly or control it, as its automatic, the mantras Tm uses are thousands of years old and are well know for their effects to calm the mind safely to enable one to reach the pure consciousness within or Self,using any old word could have unknown effects or simply not work.
      Each meditator has their own personal mantra inparted one to one together with the all important technique.There is no other way to learn it.
      Like any other precious thing you should pay for it,people spend a fortune on expensive booze,drugs,cars, holidays,sports,pastimes, to bring them happiness,but it doesn't work for long, a few days in the sun then back to work to earn more money to do it again next year, you know what I mean,TM brings happiness and energy,creativity,better health,its priceless, one payment ,benefits forever.
      I have practiced TM for 34 years,it works,worth every penny.
      I am not connected with the TM Movement either.
