It doesn't take a slow motion video to see that the ski on the right was way ahead. Simply pause this video as soon as you can see both riders in the distance, due to the horrible job of filming this video by whomever it was that recorded the video. When paused, it's easy to determine that the wake from the ski on the right, was way ahead of the one on the left. I'd estimate that he was easily 100+ feet or more ahead of the rider on the left.
Your comment got me thinking 💭. How often do a person who jetski avidly, would carry a GPS on them COMPARED to avid kayaker. Everyone i know who kayaks carries one or two

I work at a seadoo dealership and the biggest motor BRP makes for Seadoo is 1630 CC with 300 HP. Dude must’ve put serious work into that to add another 300 HP.

300+ Horsepower was enough for me... Hitting 79mph on a glass smooth lake. I rode with my father for years, I was so little back then. I could race almost anyone & surprise them. We went through so many different skies & setups. Always Seadoo. Always supercharged. I bet a turbo setup is incredibly tunable. We had some really cool guys around our local shops for a while. Made one of my favorite skies even better. The silver & orange RXT 260. I believe that's what it was. I wish we would've kept that one. Perfect size for me then or my wife now, & it shot out of the hole quicker than any of our others. We let a friend ride it for 10 minutes & he totalled it into another one of our skies. I was a teenager, & barely touched the impact spot. It sliced my finger wide open. I was so angry they ruined my ski. 😮💨 Dad didn't even get mad at them, he realized he shouldn't have let them on the skies in the first place. He never did that again... & We moved on to even faster things. I'll never forget those days. He got cancer, & a lot weaker. Lighter... Now we drive sparks & have a good time 😂 He whooped pancreatic cancer though! Kicking strong.
