Sleep Well Levon.
This is what great music is all about. Super band. The younger generation might like it.
I don’t know how any one could dislike this song let alone this amazing band. Nothing beats witnessing it live first hand. What a great band and version of this timeless tune. 😎NFA ☮️Love&light 🌈SYOTDSOTM🌓🥁🍄💚✌🏽
I love Levon’s jubilant smile after the horns!
Rest in Peace to one of the best Roots musicians ever!............and give me more of those funky horns at the end................so N'Awlins my friends.
I took my sister to see Levon Helm Band in 2008 for her birthday. I enjoyed it just as much as she did. Best concert I have ever had the pleasure of attending. Rest in peace, Levon. My favorite drummer of all time!

Got to meet him once. True, down to earth, good ol' boy!! RIP LEVON
@BryanClark-gk6ie It's a small 8-stringed instrument. The guy sitting down wearing a blue shirt (Levon Helm, drummer for The Band) is playing it.
The one and only Levon Helm, one of the greatest drummers of all times ❤
Levon was a treasure. Taken from us too soon
Out fucking standing
Wow! A great rendition of a great song.
Saw this show 2 weeks later @ Saratoga -- fabulous!
WHEW!!
I always thought Deep Elem was somewhere in Texas, but after this, I'm convinced it's somewhere in the dank, greasy, underbelly of the Mississippi delta.
Deep Elum is in Dallas; Texas.
What a band!

It's still kick ass tonight. Legend. Buenos nachos from Ireland.
The Tuba is hard to hear, but he really Rocks it during the Brass Solo!

Very famous and great player😊
@@stanleydubroca2626 thank you for sharing that! :D
Levon leave us on
woah.... sweet mama
yep
While the area was originally called "Deep Elm," it bothers me that this song doesn't spell the name correctly as "Deep Ellum" (which is what it is now officially named, and has been for ages)
Apart from that, as someone that works next to Deep Ellum, this song was intriguing lol.
It’s used interchangeably
Appreciate the information............an area of Dallas, wasn't it?
That's rite larry
I think Jerry would be proud.
Ya buddy. Jerry kicked it back then. HES A SMILIN. cant wait to go to heaven an hear them all jammin
Indeed he would............his Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band version with David Grisman was special
Sheryl Crow and Her Man are always together behind the Utube scenes because where Born to be lovers in Music and artificial things!Levon Helm is Great! RIP

Danko sure changed w age esp looking back when he was 1st from Yugoslavia
Danko is not at this concert. I think he’s already passed on.
Rick did himself in years ago after R. R. Screwed the all the other members out of royalties and credit !
Andy Smith is right, and it 's a universal American slang 11-10-2018
Can someone refresh my memory: the name of the dark haired singer? Thanks in advance.
His name is Larry Campbell.
Some of the best there ever was.
Some of the worst production and editing out there. I mean come on, when a solo starts you follow the musician doing the solo.
My 12 year old grandchild understands this concept, and produces higher quality than this. Having said that, I still appreciate this video.
