I tried out this completely new idea of doing "market research" outside McDonalds, KFC and Burger King. It still needs a little work but I still managed to have some really good conversations... along side someone who is completely devoid of compassion for animals. Hang around to the end to hear the crazy things he says!

Ultimately I'm trying to make people stop for a moment and think - and to reconnect with the compassion for animals that already lies inside most of us.
If we take the time to inform people properly, together, one step at a time, one change at a time, - when it all adds up, it will be one enormous result for the animals.
Ethical veganism means making everyday choices driven by the desire to avoid causing cruelty and suffering to animals at all practical costs. It is a way of life that reaches far beyond a plant based diet.
Put simply - We oppose the exploitation and use of other animals.
There is no doubt that breeding, caging and use of animals for food, clothing, experimentation and entertainment causes an immense amount of suffering... all of it completely unnecessary.
Following a vegan lifestyle is easy and on this channel I will be navigating many of the challenges and socially ingrained ideas that animals are here for us to use.
I also hope to talk about 'activism'... and helping other vegans to communicate effectively and share the message of living without causing unnecessary harm to other beings.
I want to make change happen... for our health, for the planet and most importantly, for the animals.
I hope you will join me on our journey to change the world.

Great work! I used to try & challenge trolls like this at outreach, but now I just walk away & don't waste my time on them. They are totally devoid of any morals or compassion & will never change. I would rather focus on the people who do care & want to listen, because these are the people we can change :)

The last guy couldn't be more disingenuous, it's so transparent.
It's a cowards way out, it's an uno reverse card because they're throwing the burden of proof back on you, because they know it's highly unlikely that you will prove that they are infact being disingenuous.
Its easy for him to say these things, because he has NO idea what is involved in the industry.
Great outreach, the first 2 were nice people the last one scary.
That kid in the beggining in my oppinion wasn't being honest because he was smiling during the convesation.(maybe because his friends were watching him) but at least you planted a seed..

I like this "market research" approach. A good way for other activists to start. It's less in your face "I'm a vegan" for those who are more conflict averse. Clif, you're an inspiration.

The kid at the end is just being edgy (evident by the smile on his face), I highly doubt he truly feels the way he claims. He's just happy to turn a blind eye to what goes on in his privileged life.

Last kid sounds exactly like my sister. So utterly self absorbed its a wonder they haven't died by accident.
Last guy wasn't thinking. That's the problem with a lot of people nowadays, we don't start to think. We do what we do and justify why we are on autopilot however we can. And if in the end we have to say we would kill a human and eat them, to be morally consistent, then we do that. Fact is though that we would pay thousands for our dogs, so they have less pain and a better life. But for chicken we don't want to pay 50¢ more if that meant they would have a better life. Or choose a plant based option if it meant the chicken would never be harmed in the first place

Well Done Clif, great idea about asking questions written down, as it comes at first as a survey, rather than a Vegan Activist (which we know makes brainwashed people react negatively towards) as per usual.
What was more frustrating was the Dad with the son, that came across compassionate about animals, but was still prepared to go contribute to their suffering by buying meat straight away.
Great to see people thinking about what you have said for the first time :). Holy shit that last guy. I must admit I always get a little thrown by people like that during outreach. I realise that even if they are trolling us or seem to have no compassion they will still remember the conversation down the line.

The troll is a complete psychopath and these people should be followed up because most will become abusers and killers, not just of many more animals, but humans as well.
As much as we need to ignore them for better people, the above is what we should consider a risk to society.
Maybe there should be a referral to authority for them because their views are not that far of terrorism ultimately.
I was taking him at face value as if he was being honest, if he was really playing up like that because friends were watching, he may not be as bad as I state in my comment.
But I have come across this type of person saying this without such back up as friends nearby.

Why would I go vegan when only meat eaters and a few vegetarians lived to be the oldest in age, have the best life expectancy on the earth, are the fastest, are the strongest, and definitely healthiest? Chickens, fish, turkeys, and lobsters eat meat, so It makes no sense to go vegan. One human life is more valuable than a billion chickens. No sane person would unalive themselves on an unhealthy vegan diet when other animals eat meat and are food and pets for humans. lol
