"He's a millennial now"
actually he's gen z
That's 1997 to 2005? Right? Or is it 97 to today?
I know right? Millennials are pushing 30, thinking they're still teens and young adults.
No one cares, unless you're a millennial.
Sir Wasi The Grim I think it’s until 2008, but it varies.
Yes, and he definitely acts like a Gen Z, who are even more obsessed with social media.
Damn, that's a really good point. Michael Keaton was way more threatening in a car with Peter. Dropping a building on him didn't even compare.
tenou213 agreed
They should have added more Michael Keaton being himself.
The moment Peter goes to Liz's house to the moment Peter leave the car was the best part of the movie. It was a great setup for the finale.
@@groot7844 It really was. The whole scene was probably the scariest in all of Marvel
It truly was the most intense non-action car scene ever
It was incredibly well shot too
"Never facing consequences for his actions"
This hits differently after watching No Way Home
I think he lost everything in the end... So that pretty much enough
:(
I don’t know what’s worse for Peter no way home or the zombie apocalypse
*Hindsight is 20/10.*
Plus he lost his love interest after defeating her dad, earlier lost his suit and internship, got detention in just this film alone.
"That's going to keep Spiderman in theaters until the f*king sun burns out of the sky!" Perfect intro
Sadly it aged terribly :(
jonnnnniej now it aged even better
i like how Peter screamed and cried for help when he was stuck under that building. He's just 15 years old and that was reflected throughout the movie, idk why people thinks this spiderman is weak, he hasn't even started his path, he's got a long life ahead of him.
Drax The Destroyer Honestly, same. That tore at my heart a little knowing he's 15 years old and painfully trapped
Thank you. People just don't get it. They have 4 more sequels planned. Eventually things are gonna get darker as Peter and the other characters get older. Let's enjoy the youthful brightness while we have it
This! This is my favourite moment and I'm shocked more people don't talk about it much. I mean when he's crying then he's like "C'mon Spiderman, c'mon Spiderman" my heart just broke. He's a kid and he's on his own.
Crum in Cider you clearly dont know what you’re talking about and just follow what everybody else follows without doing any research or watching anything by yourself. people have this mental image that marvel is for kids and not dark or whatever, when in reality, marvel is really diverse and they talk about actual real issues but in their own way. tsk
Funny how Drax is talking about a peter when he knows a peter.
"The perks of being a wallcrawler" that's comedy gold right there 😂
No they stole from that MAD show from Cartoon Network
"who can't get off his phone"
He's a teenager, what'd you expect
Hudson Davis The same with adults.
I know that reference!
Hudson Davis I’m 25 and I can’t either. 😂
I’ve been caught on my phone thrice in class, so yeah, it’s accurate
We just the same Right 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"SONY finally cracked the code on how to make the Spider-verse happen: let MARVEL do the work!" And yet they're still going to power through that Venom solo movie.
I think that movie will be somewhat decent...well long story short i just like tom hardy and think he'll do good
Levi Samom and he did....🙌🏼🙌🏼
And now they cracked spiderverse for real 🤘
@@quietvictories5694 yeah I wouldn't say that, I wasn't a big fan of venom to be honest. It was... meh.
X1 Gaming yeah, as a venom fan it was nice seeing the character in a movie, although I was sad that it was just sort of okay and really I would only recommend it to fans of Venom, as it's better than nothing, but if you aren't a fan there really isn't much there to like.
The killed it right iff the bat with two lengthy intro scenes, one before the title screens and such and another after, and both had a time jump immediately afterwards. Then if course there didn't really seem to be much of an arc for either Hardy or Venom, i mean one minute Venom wants to wipe out humanity, or have his people take them over, then when on top a building at night he sees the city lights and stuff and says it's beautiful and a short time later It decides to not only turn against it's own people, but actively fight against and kill one of them? Huh?
"The Perks of Being a Wall crawler"
-Thats probably the best title ever in Honest Trailers history.
Shihab Malek #perksofbeingwallpaper
pretty sure the title is from a MAD sketch
Jacob Baum yeah, it was
Shihab Malek agree I laughed pretty loudly.
Nah i like call of gooey from splatoon2 more
"The perks of being a wallcrawler" I'm officially dead. XD
so is gwen 4:23
R.I.P
You will be officially dead once you're in a grave sweethert... So far you're officialy reckless and don't know the weight of the words you're throwing so casually
"Move over Uncle Ben, Uncle Tony's in charge now!"
After Endgame, WHEW. That is. Ergh.
and then mysterio became a father figure for several seconds and now...
You did not see that coming
Good thing tony didn't said the *With great power comes with great responsibility* line before dying
2:06 "Wow, the older I get, the more I relate to J. Jonah Jameson".
I just lost it. 😂😂😂
True. JJJ totally relateable 👍
I wish I could give this more than 1 thumbs up!
... oh wait, I guess I can 👍👍👍👍👍😁
In the defense of making the bird-jetpack thing, what are the odds on a little company managing to win a lawsuit against an international business tycoon (who fights aliens as a hobby), without being dragged out for at least a couple decades?
ShasOFish assuming you don't go broke.
He's already broke trying to get that clean-up gig.
And it wasn't Stark International that screwed him over, it was the US government. Good luck with that lawsuit, small business owner.
And having gov't support

When you realize Peter fought in Civil War without knowing why he was fighting, and then in Homecoming, he was performing the exact actions Captain America was fighting for.
IKMNification i caught that too lol
And thats why Civil War was a badly written, overhyped mess
Kasey Kellums lol no
This comment deserves more likes
Kasey Kellums Still hurt from that clusterfuck Batman v Superman?
"You will be bored stiff when Vulture fights spider-man in bland CGI slugfests but genuinely scared when he's just Michael Keaton". Michael Keaton pulled a Willem Dafoe.
Weird Al made a good point about that in his one song when he said "He's wearing that dumb power rangers mask, but he's scarier without it on."

"and Wonder Woman?"
I took an entire second to realized the invisible airplane joke...
same and then I laughed way too hard
It took me reading your comment to get the joke.
+random encounter Wonder Woman had an invisible plane in her old comics as an allegory of the feminine compliance that women of the Depression era relied on to survive in the male-dominated work place. Showed up first in 1942.
People didn't get the "invisible airplane" joke? I'm not surprised it flew over some folks' heads; it did go kinda unnoticed...
Ooooooooooohhhhhh........ went right over my head... but it was hard to see.
"Of never facing consequences!"
See what you did?!?! Now Peter has died, lost Tony, and is now thought to be a murderer.
I am pretty sure iron-boy with the help of the tech that his iron-papa made him, will get away with that too.
@@physicsrox184 I don't think that it will be that easy for him. Peter is becoming his own hero in the next movie. I'm not going to explain to you why in a youtube comment section because it would take too much time that I don't care to spend and I doubt anything I say will change your opinion on the MCU Spider-Man.
@@anisa7591 so why you bother yourself with this comment 🤣🤣
You didn't bother explaining anything you could just skip hole thing
@@physicsrox184 Well, have I got some news for you......
Half of this movie wouldn't have happened if Tony and Happy had put in even tiny bit of effort into taking Peter seriously. I mean, Tony drug him into the bigger world, then pretty much acted inconvenienced whenever Peter tried to do the job Tony had given him. And where he was so mad about the whole fbi boat incident, um, you know if you'd told Peter you'd contacted people, then he wouldn't have been so worried, but Tony pretty much dismissed him, so what was Peter to think?
Thank you this always bothered about the movie
Lucinda Jennings
i agree with you.
on a unrelated note we have the same last name irl.
Tony gave Peter......well pretty much everything so he can't get salty when Tony takes his stuff back lol. Tony didn't take Peter seriously coz the problem Peter was explaining was way below Tony's paygrade. You can't expect a guy who constantly saves the world to do street level job, that's what Spiderman is for.
I half agree and don't agree. Honestly I do agree that if Tony and Happy had put a bit more attention to it most of it could've been avoided, but on the flipside, they were pretty busy.
Thinking on it, this happens after Civil War, and since Tony signed the Accords, he was probably negotiating new amendments to it as well as helping with SI (such as his trip to India) and trying to keep everything else from falling apart. A problem that minor wouldn't have even been worth his time unless Vulture had gotten the weapons. That's why when Peter told him about it, he sent the FBI; he wasn't allowed to act because of the Accords, and it was their job to handle and he was busy otherwise.
Happy... doesn't really have as much of an excuse besides helping move things and organizing with SI, and he could've actually taken Peter's and Ned's calls throughout the movie more seriously.
On the other hand, half of the things in the movie were honestly just mistakes gone wrong. Peter wouldn't have had to save his Decathlon team from the Washington Monument had they not had the Chitauri Core or had it not reacted to the scanner. If Tony had told Peter priorly the FBI were on the ferry, it could've gone either way since Toomes still had the weapon and it could've been much worse if they as normal people confronted the alien tech. The plane thing could've been avoided had Happy been more closely watching the plane. Honestly, most of the events were pretty in-character for the time, place, and circumstances.
...That being said, Tony definitely should've treated Peter better... which is also something he acknowledges during the ferry call. He tells Peter that he wanted to break the cycle of shame at the way Howard treated him and wanted to do better with Peter but that got interrupted with Peter being at the ferry. Then came back when Peter did beat Vulture and he offered Peter a spot because, despite going against orders, he still did the right thing in the end and Tony wanted to reward him (which is why the press conference was genuine).
...I think it's honestly the pacing of the film that muddies it up. Could've used more explanation during the narrative to be honest.
Lets give Tony randomness some leg. He had lost one of his best friends. Lost his team. And found out what really happened to his parents. I mean I would understand he is a tad unstable there
Spider-Man may not be able to catch a break with an elevator shaft, but Gwen Stacy sure can!

He's a millennial now?? 15 year-olds are part of Generation Z.
Even the actor, who is older than the character, is Gen Z.
I think many mistakenly assume millenial = 2000+ or so
Drenix and inadvertently irritate all those who want to be as far away from millennials as possible
Some stretch millennials all the way up to 2002 or even 2004 though, so it depends on who you ask.
Thank you for showing Gwen's death again. Totally wasn't traumatized by it the first time.
Micheal Keaton DOES come off more creepy as himself in this movie, thats funny
Ironic that Willem Dafoe was the same way in the original Spider-Man.
If I was Spider-Man in the movie, I would have went all Frozone from the Incredibles and been like "Tony, where's my super-suit?!"

No, he isn't. He's in high school, which makes him Gen-Z. The youngest Millenials are in their mid-20s and the oldest ones are pushing 40. Millenials aren't high school kids - some of them actually HAVE kids in high school now.

Honestly this movie should've been called,
“Spider-Man: Internship.”
Edit: Thanks for the 2K likes 🙏🏻
Why was it called homecoming? Was it marvel's arrogant way of saying, "we have him where he belongs now. He;s come home" ?
🤣🤣🤣
Yes and also there is a homecoming dance in school too.
Kenan Burak Kaplan he mentions his internship more and in the movie the homecoming dance is like his lowest priority
TooL1993
Well, Spiderman did come home to Marvel after 2 decades after Sony was making all the crappy reboots to keep Spidey out of Marvel's hands. They deserves barging rights for giving life back to a dying franchise.

Tony didn't send him into battle. He actually told Peter to forget about Vulture. Peter chose to "Go into battle"...
Tony technically did send Peter into battle during Civil War, they just used the wrong scene
who else thought they saw Chris Pratt at 3:22? 😂😂
If tony actually tried to train peter and pay more attention to him a lot of the problems in the flick wouldn’t happen.
LoL... if you think about it, Tony's dismissal and disregard for Peter is the same thing that resulted in Tony inadvertently creating villains from Iron Monger, Killian Aldrich, Quentin Beck
"But genuinely scared when he's just Michael Keaton"

10,000 Subs and N0 VIDE0 I like your name, subbed :)
Hi Bro
10,000 Subs and N0 VIDE0 how did you get so many? Just shouted your name out and hoped people subbed?
Tony Stark, the creator of most MCU villains.
I was half expecting this one to be called, "Iron Man 4".
Iron Man 4: Spider Crawler
3:41 Yep, they sure did!
My surname is Holland aswell, so many people just call me Netherlands, glad even screen junkies are on board

"Can't catch a break with that"
*Gwen's neck snaps*
Awwwww *snap*
Emma Stone had her big break with that role.
I wouldn't say he faces no consequences in this movie. Iron Man takes the suit away after all. And the consequences for wrecking Liz's life is that he no longer has her in his life now. I'd argue the whole movie was about actions vs consequences, with Peter reacting to events he had a part in creating. Basically Peter learns the whole "with great power comes great responsibility" lesson without the phrase ever being said
jlgirlxox And without uncles being shot.
He faced consequences in the big picture - but it makes no sense AT ALL that he gets nothing but a serious talk for ditching school and detention.
Plus he basically ravaged the whole neighbourhood while chasing that van and noone even blinked. I mean, come ooon.
Schattenbalg well that's superhero logic for you
True story.
Also, cool nickname.
Right. And he has to learn that despite his protests throughout the movie, he is a kid. And he should've listened to Tony all along when he told Peter to just help the little guy.
3:31 Screen Junkies accidentally predicted Spider-Man: Far From Home.
😎😎
"Vulture (or the unexpected virtue of casting Michael Keaton)" & "Perks of being a wallcrawler" had me laughing hard 😂😂😂
Come on, Vulture being his girlfriend's dad was a great twist. The theater where I saw it was noticeably shocked for 2 minutes. No one saw that coming.
ehh..no one? seriously? have you guys been watching all those other Spidey movies before? it was kinda predictable
AfroThunder242 same the audience was shocked
I saw it coming about 3 seconds before the reveal. It took to long for the door to answered.
I was like huh, how did Vulture know Peter was Spider Man, then I was like oh, he was Liz dad
Meh, you can see it coming when you realize that it's nearing the 3rd act and neither SM nor Vulture are put on paths towards their final confrontation. Plus, it lingers on the door forever.

Perks of a wall crawler was better
Okay, the store wasn't his fault. I mean, it's a store only, not half a city like the avengers.
Except that they couldn't have really prevented the Chitauri from trashing the place. It was Loki's fault to begin with.
I guess Sokovia is a forgotten memory
The one thing I don't get is why cap and some of the others don't do volunteer clean up crew once they are done with battles. I mean, Thor kind of lives elsewhere or did, anyways, him not pitching in kind of makes sense. I feel like Tony Stark is the only one we see trying to help with the aftermath, and that doesn't make sense to me.
LightTrack Thanos' fault*
Francis Lee, Sokovia both is and isn't the Avengers fault. Its utterly Tony's fault for creating Ultron, but inversely the Avengers themselves saved all the people they could, lead evacuation efforts, and protected people. Hell QS actually gives his life not only for Hawkeye, but for that kid. But again, Stark created Ultron, so it both is and isn't their fault.
Spiderman isn't a millennial at this point. He would be a gen z, if he's 15 in 2017.
You man Ironman Jr.

Into the Spiderverse says hello.
Harsh Deep that's sorta different tho since it ain't live action
Linksthebest ye I know but into Spiderverse was all down to Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Sony needs to give all their Spiderman live action rights back to Marvel .
In return Marvel should give them more marvel characters to use in animations
Mateo Spider-Mans Spiderverse is great but hardly anyone was asking for it before it came out.

I had an avengers endgame trailer ad play before this video. Awesome
I don't get the confusion about Tony giving Peter the suit and his stance in Civil War. He believed in regulation, but he didn't think Peter would get up to much trouble, since prior to this movie he hadn't done much other than typical street-level hero stuff, and even when the Vulture showed up he told Peter to stay away from it BECAUSE he didn't want to cause even more destruction, which is exactly in line with his stance in Civil War, that even if the heroes are doing something to stop a villain, they often cause more destruction than if they did nothing.
He also called the FBI to do the work on the ferry and Spidey actually hacked the suit without Tony knowing, which is what gave him instant kill.
Let's just be clear that Tony Stark is the KING of creating destruction through irresponsibility. That idiot held onto tech he should never have had, created a rogue AI and caused an entire city to be dropped from the sky then had the ENORMOUS CAJONES to claim there needs to be oversight with... himself nominally in charge of running it.
Stark is the problem.
@Kenneth Harkin Stark AND Banner. Stark needed Banner for Ultron, admitting he didn't have the know-how to do it alone. Ultron was an accident. If we blame Stark for Ultron, we should start blaming Cap for Winter Soldier, who, by the way, killed so many people throughout the decades. "Caused an entire city to be dropped from the sky" is conflating cause.
Stark did not request oversight on the accords. He was GIVEN temporary oversight during Civil War, but granting that of those who SIGNED, no one else had the administrative capacity coupled with the technical know-how of dealing with superheroes, Tony was Ross' best choice. Ross is still the boss of the oversight committee overseeing the Avengers.
Stark is less a "problem" than people actively applying fault to accident.
@Kenneth Harkin He did tell Peter not to do anything he would or wouldn't do. So you know, he is also the king of giving shitty advice.
Mordalon Exactly, Cinimasins are the ones getting sloppy.
Dang, that Gwen Stacy reference still hurts my heart a little.
