This book “ First Blood “ was written in 1972 , and was then made into a Movie starring Sylvester Stallone . There are 5 Rambo Films in all . All because of this magnificent book . I wish I could publish my own memoir . Perhaps one day I will . Have a lot of fascinating stories I’d like to share with the world . What disappointed me about Mr Morrell a little, has been his vocal criticism of where Sly has taken John Rambo in films IV and V. To my mind, whilst I have grown up with, and adore First Blood, FB 2, and R3, it wasn't until Part 4 that Sly gave us a Rambo who's character was close to how he is in the book; and in R5, you really get that damage, anger and desperation that comes through in First Blood the novel. I can't help think that Morrell not getting the rights to the novelisations of those movies has more to do with it, than actually not liking them. But whatever, I loved R5, and I actually think there is meat on the bone for a part 6, and I have a great idea for it, not that Sly will ever hear about it of course :D

I think you want to watch part 2 if I’m not mistaken . I did a quick Rambo 6 idea ( it’s kind of a joke actually but hey .... you just never know )..... It’s a fantasy . Wow.3 weeks ago i was looking for that book at good will and saw the name david morrel.i was shocked i found it.but NOPE.same author.different book.rambo 2 novel is different too.i guess he has a male partner and the film was to pair him up with travoltas.i figured if your sneaking into a vietcong base .a dude in platform shoes and a disco leisure suit would give away your position.HE HITS IT!!HE HITS MY HAIR!!

The ultimate action packed page turner. I read this before I saw the movie, thank God! Nothing against Rambo, but the book is an A+ classic.
I wish I didn’t see the movie as many times as I have haha .
