Plot: An emotionally scarred, and deeply traumatized Vietnam war veteran named Rambo is harassed by the chief of police of a small Kentucky town. After being pushed too far, Rambo decides to wage war against the town's police department.

I loved it. It's been a very long time since I read it, but It's considerably more nasty in places, especially when John is crawling through the mountains in the dark and is up to his waist in batsh*t, it's completely hellish and i really felt John's struggle. I think both endings work for different reasons. I think the book ending makes more sense for the book reality and the film ending makes more sense for the film reality. Another great review!
