This 20-minute Standing Pilates routine is perfect for when you are looking for a change from the traditional Pilates mat routine, while still utilizing all the same principles.
These pilates standing exercises focus mainly on the lower body, strengthening the muscles in the legs and glutes, while also working on balance, stability and proper alignment. Also, these movements would be ideal for walkers, runners and cyclists to strengthen appropriate muscles to help prevent injuries and focus on correct form.
We’ll finish this workout with simple, yet effective, upper body and arm exercises.
The only prop you'll need is a chair, counter or wall if you need additional stability for balance. This standing pilates workout is appropriate for all levels.
