  • In this video, I show the very first Concept of the Cantilever CoreXY 3D printer. This 3D Printer is a new concept that I have created since I couldn't find any motion system for 3D printers that run the CoreXY on one single Z axis. Usually, the CoreXY 3D printers are in a Box and are fully framed, well the Z-Core isn't, it is a Cantilever CoreXY 3D printer.

    I had a similar idea about a cantilever CoreXY design, I will be watching your channel for your progress.

      Oh that’s very cool! Love that.
      Yes soon there will be a new video coming about that

      @@Zachary3DPrints I think your setup should be working.
      Suggestions, if you dont mind:
      * Use tighter belts
      * Attach the two belts on alternate sides of the head slide, I think it might even out the pull on the cantilever.
      * When testing hold one belt firmly in place against the Y beam, this should give you your diagonal movements
      * When testing move both belts in opposite directions, this should give you your Y movements

    Found this video because I was thinking of trying the same thing except with a cantilever core “XZ” I think the reason your design isn’t traveling like it should is because the belts need to route back towards the steppers without being attached to the carriage. So there will be 4 attach points on the carriage plus 2 belts that just pass through without being attached. The center portion would need 6 pulleys instead of 4.

    There's a similiar project to yours in terms of the Cantilever CoreXY moving system, it's a laser engraver called Tlaser from the channel Filipe Caçador. Maybe it can help figuring out the belt system. I'm looking forward to see the z-core project progress.

      Thank you, I did found it too after your suggestion. But I'm not going to copy this design, I want to keep it within the extrusion height. I;m working on it
