Thank you, I'm really happy that you like my videos :-) It wa shot on a Fujifilm XT30 with FUJINON XF18-55mmF2.8-4 - I'm too lazy for color grading and extensive editing. I think this camera has out of the box the best 4k performance for well below 1000$.
Just a question is it necessary to add that fancy CNC milled X gantry aluminum profile ? Im no engineer but that doesn't seems to add to the rigidity of the structure it makes it more heavy the X axis. A mgn 12 rail has the rigidity to stand by itself
I think gantry is used for to get better allignment. To assembly the mgn12 itself you should screw at least 3 bolts to prevent the rail to turn around the bolts because of the inertia of the movement.
i guess it was around 1400. you can get close to 1000 buying just parts on aliexpress. there is also some room to save money: you can downgrad to the pi zero 2, skip the monitor, cut the acrylic glass yourself, 2wd is cheaper than 4wd, use just 24V and so on

I ordered from F3d, but I only bought the print bed, x-rail and print head for around 200$.

Is the counter kinematic for the other two motors comming? Cus 235 is supposed to be AWD or 4WD.
Vez3d is building the AWD version. I'm building the 2WD version.

The rail alone twists at Y motion extents, small but measurable and noticeable in the print. That triangulated gantry resists twisting significantly.
