    Good video and I like how you showed and explained everything but unfortunately it does me no good. I still need info about how to diagnose and change out the radiator fan control relay circuit!

      The fan relay sensor is on the driver's side firewall.

    I have a 2003 jeep liberty sport. Cooling fan quit working so i replaced it with a new one. Problem solved but 3 weeks later new fan quit. No codes no check engine light and 40 amp cooling fan fuse is good. Any thoughts. Im putting another new cooling fan in it tomorrow. First replaced fan was a keystone collision fan. Going with a dorman fan this time. Any thoughts🤔

      Never heard of keystone before, but lets see what happens with the Dorman. Also, you might want to replace that fan relay as well.

    My 2003 Jeep liberty, the fan stay on even while the car is off, any thoughts on that.

      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 6 lety +2

      Do they ever go out? If not, you will need to have a wiring diagram to figure out what wire(s) are powering the fan, then figure out which one is staying hot while the car is off. Hope this helps.

    Love your info bro. But you never got to the title and gave information directly related to the Fan relay. I don't have any codes and my fan is not working and I suspect the relay. Fuse is good and fan connector appears to be well connected. I will follow the connector after I diagnose the relay. Thanks for your help.

      Hey Anthony, before you do anything, jump out the fan to make sure it is working because the fans do seem to go bad in these vehicles, if the fan is working correctly, then go to the relay. They are a common problem, hope this helps.

      It could be your fan motor. Fan motor does not throw you MIL Light

    Was the fan moving during diagnosis?

  • @edwinodus
    @edwinodus Před rokem

    I had this very problem, what I did to fix it is pull off the negative terminal on the battery while the jeep is idling for good 10 minutes, then hook it back up. Problem solved

    did changing the alternator work? i have the same two codes and the dealership is telling me its the regulator and i need to change the pcm ($1000), but i'm not convinced. if the alternator solved the problem, let me know!

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 6 lety +4

      Hi, that code did not come back after the alternator was replaced, BUT, it may not be the same remedy for your vehicle. I think the dealer is trying to rip you off, you can get the fan relay for around $50, and you DO NOT need to replace the pcm afterwards.
