@Treasure Out his program in the ashram has 2000 attendees. It's free. The program spans over 8 days almost. Stay and food is all free. Any medicines for the 2000 attendees is also free.
There are residents numbering 4000 or so and everyone has free food there everyday. 2000 volunteers almost are also having free food.

When I attended Isha engineering program there was this Muslim girl who was in her early 20s. On the last day of the program people were asked to narrate how the program and practicing the yoga helped them. Along with many people she broke down and cried a lot. That was actually her sorrows coming out for the first time and she felt great. Her boyfriend was the one who suggested her to join the program.

I suggest you to do the Inner Engineering course and then go there and have an incredible experience as a volunteer!!!! jitenn chaudhary Why bother earning? Guess what? Not everyone can get paid for sitting on their backside and telling people to do things dangerous to their health, such as only eat once a day and hardly sleep. A diabetic could quickly go into a coma, and try driving, working dangerous machinery or simply coping without enough sleep to recuperate from not sitting on your butt spouting that what works for you is good for everyone.
Mind, when the stomach hasn't enough food to digest the body starts taking what nutrition there is in the body, starting with the major organs - including the brain. Maybe why his brain doesn't work well enough for him to know better! Plenty of proof that lack of enough nutrition depletes intelligence, and general health.

As a postgraduate student, ever since my first year of study in Uni, I have always enjoyed studying and working on an empty stomach. I tend to focus more, have energy and feel refreshed. I can go for a days or a week without eating and just consume alot of drinking water or tea and I will be good to go. I also observed during that time that the body gets used to not having food, and the moment I start eating it reacts differently and not a good feeling, I start to eat in small portions and maybe just once in a day.

I don’t think you understand but there is a reason why doctors say these things how much an average human should eat and sleep ect.. They know best they have been studying and are experts in their field it’s like saying no I will not listen to a realtor or a retail banker because they don’t know anything I know best when buying a house or ect... Get rid of this logic and understand that when experts say this they’re not wrong. But honestly it really depends on how you feel. So listen to your experts but if it doesn’t work to you standards or benefits then that’s fine also. But don’t say no I will do this instead because I think this good no experience and understand to a certain degree after trying all things out and then decide.

This is very inspiring. Thank you. The only thing that confuses me is that Ayurveda (sister science of Yoga) considers the time around noon (midday) the best time to consume the largest meal of the day. Our digestive power (agni) is at its peak then. Of course, this means that you have to always interrupt your daily activities in the middle of the day so you can eat. I can see how yoga centers would find it more convenient to eat in the morning and evening and have a long stretch of undisturbed satsang time in the middle of the day.

    • @earthspirit516

It's true. Intermittent fasting and fasting in general is how to keep your body healthy and repaired. People knew this thousands of years before science figured it out.
I remember as a kid I was put to bed at 8.30, couldn't sleep at all, then I would stay awake thinking and eventually fall asleep and be in bed for 11 hours each night.
Then I was fed bread or cereal in the morning, sandwiches at lunch, and pasta or potatoes at night. I was never hungry in the morning, but i still tried to eat something as i was told to.
It was only after 24 years that I realised removing sugar and carbohydrates made me feel completely better, and then fasting and only eating 1 time a day was even better than that.

It really confused me at first but I feel so much better. I will get home from work at 8am go straight to bed and get up 12, get on with my daily chores and school run then have a meal around 5/6 before going to work at 7pm and I'll eat somthing very small at work such as an apple and that's it for the whole 24 hours. Even on my nights off I can go to bed at 2am and get up at 6am no problems at all, no drowsy feeling and no morning head, I can get up and start immediately cleaning or doing somthing.
