In summary, to overcome depression, take control of your mind. Get the abilities of memory and imagination to serve you rather than bring you misery. As a man thinketh, so is he
The Gray Wanderer - Find Your Bliss
I think this is getting there.. but I don’t think the “as a man thinketh” line is where Sadhguru or other spiritual teachers would say. It’s part of it but not the extent. The ultimate is beyond thought.. Reality as it is. Thoughts are limited to their own devices I.e concepts. Reality as it is, is beyond any kind of tangible concept
Yes but how
Yes but the how is finding something to invest your time in and always believing your life is precious otherwise you waste it

Set small goals for yourself, once you achieve 1 set another one and another one, You will subconsciously start to get motivated for bigger things. IF you start out too big and you find it hard to achieve that big goal, you'll start to lose hope. The small goals show you can start something and achieve something therefore building confidence and in turn you will get your spark back.

Usually Sadhguru's answer starts with "You Must Understand" ;) . Jokes apart but this man is a blessing to India. The nation should use his wisdom.
Couldn't agree more sir
He is a blessing to us All
I just forget about everything whenever I listen to him the term Guru truly deserves him .
This may be my most favorite talk of his.
If we are intelligent enough to recognize our intelligence as a "problem", as an impediment to happiness, then we are also intelligent enough to recognize our intelligence as the very tool of bringing us closer to happiness and eliminating our suffering. So ultimately, it IS a choice which path to take. As Sadhguru so simply put it, "demotivation" is not an ailment. Hence not something others can help you with. It is something you have to chose to stop being.
Richness of memory. Imagination for the future. And discipline of faculty. I absolutely love how you explain about these three things.
Whenever I feel low, I watch the speeches of Sadhguru and it refreshes me enough to start things with a new perspective again. I am so grateful that I took birth in a time where I lived in the same Earth with Sadhguru.

I am a fan of this Sadhguru. I like his universal approach.

After watching this video, I turned into a flame from a spark🙏🙏🙏 Great Sadhguru ji..
This man... !!!! Everytime I listen him I get spark!
I'm always a flame. Thank you Sadhguru.
What are you investing your life in?
That's a rather personal question, but I'll answer. I'm investing my life in being happy and doing what I want without worrying about what others think. Without worrying about anything really.
May I know your secret formula to stay aflame?
Just practice gratitude. I had to go through decades of suffering to finally appreciate life. I hope you realize it sooner than I did... It's something you have to experience yourself. But gratitude is a start. Be aware and mindful of all the things that make you comfortable. Be grateful. Don't over think, just be the present moment. Keep watching Sadhguru, it might help you achieve inner peace. It's basically a choice. Just choose to be a flame and you will. Will power is your greatest tool. You shape your own reality. Become fearless, don't allow anything to affect you and don't identify with your thoughts. Just be impartial, let them flow. Focus on what makes you happy. Stop worrying about what others may think. Master this. The whole purpose of the universe is you and this moment, so enjoy it. Life is the perfect game, so play it.

Now I know..
1. I need to "Think and Remember"
2. Not let my two greatest abilities - "memory and Imagination" suffer and become a hopeless case.
3. Apparent Peace of mind leads to Rest In Peace (R.I.P)
4. Get out of college asap! :p
5. Have an intense focus on something.. use judiciously the basic ingredient of life, i.e. "Time".
So, now I'm on my way to being "Flame all the time!🔥".. Did you feel any spark yet?💥

Well spoken..."If this life is precious to you, invest in something worthwhile "
It is the identity which we're trying to maintain which has lost its spark, not the Being itself. And as far as I know, this identity is a made up thing, losing the spark is just trying to get real, I don't think we should be more motivated to get back to illusion.
Truly unmatched wisdom n charm..sadguru
Just opening truth. Simple thing. Great job.
This is incredible, can't stop watching all the videos, thank you Sadhguru ji for sharing your knowledge with us, it is soo precious ,to be able to understand your perspective which is so accurate, to live life in the best way possible.
It's so sad that the most empathetic line in this video for me was: "my brain is my enemy"
yeah but i think its actually a good thing. everyone has to first acknowledge where they are to begin feeling happier. if you became aware of something new then build on that from a higher state of consciousness so when you slip back into autopilot you can stick to what you previous set out for yourself
Well, I believe there was no reason for anyone to dislike this video.. its the ultimate truth that we are either ignorant of or are escaping from ..
Often times I feel like I have no purpose, I can't achieve anything, and I feel lazy and unmotivated because of the exams that determine my worth in this society, I used to be a creative and joyful personality but idk why I am constantly drowning in this world of extreme competitions and comparisons, I overthink to an extent that it becomes toxic for my mental health, but when I listen to Sadhguru I can feel the positivity and peace in his teachings, which forces me to let go of the past and work hard with focus and determination . Thanks a lot.
Discipline is the most important thing to make life easy and beautiful that's so true 😌
I have asked this same exact question in a prior comment long ago...I'm glad it got answered. Although I'm in even more doubt than before
Thank you, Sir!! Yes, exactly, we are suffering our own intelligence. I chanced upon this video of Sadhguru while browsing through Viktor E Frankl's Logotherapy concepts. While Frankl is commending the search for meaning in one's life, Sadhguru is asking us to stay "balanced" and not run for meaning but only exist. Bhagavada Gita's teachings that keep working but do not expect fruit of action are in line with Sadhguru's teachings. Not everyone of us is built for "greatness" as society defines it but "humility" and "peace" and mere "existentialism" may often work wonders. Yes, indeed, we are suffering our own intelligence and competitiveness. I have come to a point in my life where if I merely exist, it would suffice. A lot of people tell me that you have done enough but I never used to take that comment to heart. Time to accept that I have done enough inspite of and against all odds and now merely "exist".
This is gold ! I woke up today to this video and I feel so uplifted and light. Thank you for sharing wisdom.
