- In today's video I take you through my race experience at Outlaw Half Holkham triathlon, the British Middle Distance Champs. My first third half ironman distance triathlon, I had some good and some bad takeaways and lots of lessons learned!

+1 for this.
Great video and results, congrats! That run course was a beast, destroyed me for sure. Was my first 70.3 having progressed through Sprint to Olympic in the past couple of years. Looking forward to the next one though!
Great performance Lewis. I had similar problems with weeing too much on the bike in a race earlier this year and found it down to drinking too much the days before the event.
Congrats on another great result! Happy to hear you were able to make progress on the bike! I'm by no means an expert, but I've read up a bit on hydration, and it seems that if you need to pee a lot it could be because you're running low on electrolytes and the body therefore can't hold fluid (or you'd dilute your blood/sodium balance too much). There's good content on it here on yt by nutrition triathlon and also a channel called Saturday morning. I've started supplementing with electrolyte tabs this summer - like in pretty much all the water I drink (a 500mg tab per 0,5L) and it's a noticeable difference in how often I need to pee, and it also seems to reduce the amounts of headaches I get. Best wishes
Nice video, I'm learning a lot from this kind of stuff. I'm a newbie in triathlon and this helps a lot. Thank you and Congrats !
Brilliant performance Lewis, it sounds like you're learning so much already, can't wait to see how you're going in your next few races! Good to hear you got a decent breakfast down you :D
